Create your orders batch file based on the date of theorder. You specify the beginning and ending date andname the batch, this module will do the rest. It finds orders which have not already been batched and that fallwithin the date range you specified. Many people fillorders from the merchant notification email and infrequentlylook in the order processing section to review a detailabout the order. Hence, they do not bother to batch daily. This module allows you to maintain your batches in alogical, historical manner (e.g. by month), much like thefile cabinet in your office without having to run thebatch at a specific time or date. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
The module includes a feature that lets you re-batch previously batched orders if their batch has not been deleted. For example, you may batch orders daily. But then at the end of the month, instead of having 30 batches in your order processing tab, you can re-batch all the orders for that month into a single batch. This makes archiving orders convenient.
The build action of this module is run within Admin,under the Store Utilities. Once the batch is created, theRun Report screen pops up. You can run a report then oryou can find the batch and run a report later from theorder processing section. The batches show up in thestandard list of batches under Order Processing.

Back to TopThe express order module allows you to display an express order form within Miva Merchant. This is useful for your customers who routinely order from a printed catalog with SKU numbers for each unique product or they order the same thing frequently and have the codes written down or memorized. If they know the product codes, they simply enter them and submit. This saves time since they do not have to do time consuming searches or browse categories and products looking for the items they want to order. It cannot be used for products which have variable attributes. The button to open the form can be placed on any screen and in any location in the store. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
It includes an automatic re-display of the express order input form if all of the entries are filled in on the previous submission. The express order screen will continue to re-display as long as all inputs are used and there are no errors in the product codes submitted.
The store owner can define how many product entry inputs display on each page. Further, the store owner can use either the default display (with configured number of entries), or he/she can use the template Express Order screen. The template allows the store owner to move objects around and personalize the look of the Express Order screen.
The error messages are configurable.
The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. Back to TopDisplay all open baskets in a table format. This report includes active and expired baskets. As a MIVA Merchant store owner you are able to see how many people come to your store and abandon baskets, even after placing items in thebasket. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
In some cases, customers get to checkout and then abandon baskets and you can determine that too. You can use the module to check basket activity before closing the store for maintenance or deleting baskets in admin. As basketsare converted to orders, they disappear from this listing. Likewise, when expired baskets are deleted in Admin, they also disappear from this listing.
You can delete specific baskets. This feature was requested by a store owner who found his competition was purposely putting large quantities of items in the basket so they would be out of stock. By using this feature he was able to delete the basket and the items were immediately put back in inventory.

Back to TopCustomers can identify products that they would like to purchase but are currently out of stock. Once you place the product in stock, you can run the Send Email routine from the module admin interface. It sends an unlimited number of notifications as one process, using Miva Enginefunctions to prevent timeout. Each waiting customer will receive an email telling them that the product is back in stock in your Miva Merchant store. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
The module works with Miva's Inventory Management (version 5.x). The Wait List Manager will automatically insert the Wait List link on the product page when the quantity is out of stock. This is determined by the global defaultor individual product's "out" setting. You can even block the automatic link insertion by including the product code in the blocking list through the admin interface.
When the customer clicks the Wait List link they are taken to a form to verify/enter their email address. If they are logged in, it inserts their email address for them. If not, they just type it in. The form also lists the number of other customers waiting for the item if that number is 5 or above (just to the right of the product name). This will give customers a sense of urgency when they receive the in-stock notification. Whenthey add themselves to the list, you have the option (in admin)of sending them a thank you (for their interest) email. If you employ this option, it will also tell them their position on the Wait List. When products are in short supply, that maybe something your customers would like to know. Also, if theyare already on the Wait List, and sign up again, it will not duplicate their record, rather it will email them that they arealready on the list and what their current position is on the list.
The admin configuration screen allows you to vary the name and/or image associated with this program so you aren't locked into the term "Wait List". You can also change the colors and fonts in the form along with the verbage in the form and notification email. You may even want to pass on a coupon code in the notification email for customers who have been waiting for a product.
When editing an individual product in admin, you can also display all of the Wait List records associated with that product. They can be deleted manually in this screen if you don'tplan to restock the item. Thereis also a handy link for mailing them to verify their continuedinterest in the item. You can even limit the notification in this screen to just some of the waiting customers. This is useful when you only receive a small number of the out-of-stock item and there are many more waiting for it. Since the entriesare arranged in order, it is easy to give those on the waiting listthe longest, the first shot at the newly re-stocked item.
You can quickly get a summary of all of the items on "WaitList" to provide you with a re-order, based on demand, tool.
When you Send Email, the module searches all products with a stock level above zero and checks the product code against the Wait List database.Pending Wait List customers are notified of the re-stock of theproduct and their Wait List record is then deleted.
To help the store owner identify needs quickly, an optional CC email can be sent when an item is wait listed.
You will use render tokens in the Merchant 5page templates to insert the Wait List prompt.
There is an alternate template form for the customer to enter their name and email address. This template can be HTML customized to suit your look and feel. If you are not skilled at coding HTML, you can still use the default (built in) form which is customized with colors, fonts, etc with easy inputs in admin.

Back to TopProvide an easy interface within Miva Merchant for visitors to refer your site or specific product URL to their friends. It uses the built in Miva SMTP capability to send the email. You can use HTML formatted emails instead of plain text. Use the render token to place the Tell A Friend button on any page in the store. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
The subject and body of the Tell a Friend email message is configurable through the Merchant admin interface. In addition to the easy to use, built-in form, there is an alternate template form for the customer to enter friend names and email addresses, plus an option to allow them to include a note. This template can be HTML customized to suit your look and feel. If you are not skilled at coding HTML, you can still use the default (built-in) form which is customized with colors, fonts, etc with easy inputs in admin.
You can choose to have a blind CC sent your store's email address. The module can also insert a log entry (date, from, to, product code if applicable) maintained in a flat file when referrals are sent.
If the customer sends the referral email when they are on a specific product screen, a second link to the product is included in the email. If you are using our Gift List module (Emporium Plus - Weiland), there is a convenient button on the bottom of the Gift List display that sends the Gift List URL to your friends.
You can embed certain tokens in the tell a friend email. For example, if you are using our Coupon Redemption (Emporium Plus - Weiland) module with its unique coupon code generation feature, you can insert a token like %module|couponrd|1~TELL-% in the body of the email. If you are on a product page when you send the email, the email can also contain the product name, image or thumbnail, and price by using tokens.
The emails can be multipart so that you can have both text and html sections of the email and the recipient browser will automatically select which section it is able to display.
You can have the Tell A Friend form on a page in Merchant or use it in a popup screen. You can display a thank you message after the submission and if you are using our coupon module, can generate an on-the-fly, unique coupon code.

You can even use it with the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to include the information in the order notification emails.
Interface with built-in custom customer fields: The built in custom customer fields module from MIVA Corp establishes the databases and provides an admin side interface for the store owner to enter custom customer data. This module provides the merchant public side for the customer to enter data into those custom fields.
Easy token implementation: Easily place tokens on the customer information collection screens using the standard MM5 template script. You can use the common "foreach" loop to display all of them together or you can break each field out for display in various parts of the screen. For example, you may want to collect a second address line just below the first address line and then later in the screen collect the company rep the customer deals with. To view the actual look of the screen, you can go to our pinemporium.com test store and create an account. You can change values in the fields with the account edit selection on the nav bar.
Flat file export: When a new customer account is created, all of the standard field values except the pgrpcount and password are saved to a flat file log. In addition to the standard fields, values entered into the custom fields are also saved to the flat file. Additionally, date and time fields are exported so you can determine exactly when a new customer account was created. The flat file is | delimited and can be FTPd to your PC with your FTP software and then imported into other programs. You can periodically delete the flat file and it will be recreated with the next new customer account creation.
Search new customer log: You can search the flat file log created when new customers sign-up. You can search on keyword, single date, and/or date range. The standard and custom fields will be displayed. The log display includes a link to the actual customer records so you can edit and make changes if needed.
Interface with email modules: The custom field values can be displayed in the merchant and customer notification emails if you are using the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to generate them.

A widget can contain text, html, or MIVA Merchant's template scripting code. Widgets are flexible and reusable, can be easily edited and duplicated, and can be used to display dynamic content, including products, categories, and baskets, anywhere.
Widgets can be used to display: a mini-basket in the sidebar of any page; one or more category listings on the storefront and on any other page; mini-category listings anywhere, with links to the category page; products on any page; multiple headers and footers; blocks of dynamic content that are reused in specific place through out the store; and just about anything else, anywhere.
By adding a content management layer, the Wow Wow Widgets module makes it easier to include, edit and manage content within MIVA Merchant 5.

Protect your email addresses. This module keeps yourstore's email address out of view of spammer email address harvesters. It also allows you to easily change the email address you want inquiries to go to without editing html pages. Easy link to the contact form. You can launch the Contact Manager form from a button in the category column, in the nav bar or elsewhere within Merchant or from a static page. You can also easily use a http link format for launching the Contact Manager form from static pages or within Merchant. Assign the inquiry. The Contact Manager allows you to assign the contact record to a specific technician or department with ease. That technician can then find their active contacts easily. User interface look and feel. The Contact Manager form characteristics are controlled from the module's admin configuration screen. At the admin level you can change category column button text, optional category column button image, email subject, email to address, contact screen title, customer email prompt, customer inquiry prompt, background color, font face, font size, font color, message for the submission form, send button text, and optional send button image. Even for the html novice, the form's characteristics are easily altered in admin. In Merchant 5.x you can go a step farther if you are familiar with the store morph technology (SMT) and page template editing by fully customizing every aspect of the form. With the Merchant 5.x built in SMT you can make changes to the page and even rollback changes if you don't like what you see. Customer can choose department. The module allows the customer to select the target to send the inquiry to with a select list option. This expedites the delivery to the specific technician/department's email address. As with the uncompiled version, the email addresses are hidden from email harvesting spammers. Field inclusion and validation. Department codes, descriptions and email addresses are configured through admin. The standard collection fields are name, email, subject, department, and inquiry. However, you can also have an unlimited number of extra fields in the form. These fields can be required or optional. If required and the customer does not provide a response, the form will validate and redisplay so the missing info can be supplied. What extra fields you create and use is dependant on how you will use this contact form; e.g. requests for info, pricing, availability, product details, billing, shipping, or even for customer surveys prior to checkout. Autoresponse receipt verification. When the customer submits their inquiry, the module can optionally send them an autoresponse that you have received their inquiry and how soon you will get back to them. That autoresponse email is composed and customized by you through the admin panel. You can also include the contact tracking number in the subject of the contact emails and responses, e.g. [EP #925]: How do I..... Searchable contact records. The admin section allows you to search one one or more criteria to find messages you are interested in. You can then edit the status and/or respond to the sender. The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. At this time we have not had a problem. Modules will be moved to the top of the queue as needed. |

Search specific fields and sort results. Allow a customer to search one or more fields which are made selectable by the store owner. The store owner can choose, in the admin screen, any fields within the products database or the MIVA Merchant built in custom product fields database to be available. The Power Search module uses a mirror database of your products, custom fields and categories; much like the big search engines use. By creating a mirror before the search is made, many operations to join multiple databases togethercan be avoided, so the customer gets a much faster search. Customers can also sort the results on fields like name, code, price, cost, when they were added to the store, or the default display order the store owner established for productlists. The build of the mirror database goes quite quickly and is a maintenance procedure you will do periodically. The small amount of time you take to build the mirror will save your customers significant amounts of time in their searches vs searches which don't use an optimized mirror database. Buildingthe mirror is not required just because products are added, deleted, or edited; as those processes update the mirror automatically without needing a rebuild. See the install doc for details.
Category selectable. Customers can use the category selector to select just one category to search. The default is to search the whole store. You can use the built in token which lists all categories with one or more products in them oryou can build your own select list of only certain categories.
Multiple search types. The customer can select how they want to search the database. The default is to search for products where all (boolean AND) of the keywords entered are found in the record. The customer can broaden that search so that any (boolean OR) of the words are found in the record. They can search by exact phrase so that the words must appear in thesame order in the record as was entered in the search input. They can also search the fields where the data in the field begins with the search string. This is useful for things like finding all of the products whose NAME begins with a specific letter and allows you to have a list of A-Z links that implement that specific search.
Advanced pagination. The module can display the total number of products found which match the search condition. Additionally, the pagesare numbered, e.g. Page 3 of 20, when results exceed the configurable number of products per page. You can also display alist of page numbers and links to those pages so the customer can jump to the page they want to look at. This pagination is similar to that used in the Emporium Plus Category Manager module.
Product layout template can be customized. In the 'srch' page template, there is a "search results layout". If you are happy with that layout, you can copy and paste the contents of that template into the Power Search module's product layout template. You can then modify the layout in the Power Search admin screen.
Price range searching. While searching the price field might be useful in some cases, a more popular search is price range. Within the searchable fields section, the customer has the option of entering a low and high price to create a range. If left blank, the search will not be filtered by price range.
Tell a friend module interface. If the store is using the Emporium Plus Tell A Friend module, customers can send the search string from Power Search to friends. The link in the email will go to the same page of products that the customer was on when they clicked the Tell A Friend button.
Return to search page link. After going to the product page from a Power Search rendered search, a convenient "return to search" link on the product page can bring the customer back to the original search page.
Search log with admin report. In admin, you can view the log of search words/phrases which your customers have used. This helps you from a marketing standpoint to determine the most sought after products and possibly the need to carry a new product. Additionally, it helps you identify keywords which might be useful to include in the narrative descriptions or the meta tags for search engine submissions and even local searches in your store. As example, while you might have a product called flip flops, customers might be searching for thong sandals (which is the same thing). But if you had not used those words in your description, you may have lost the sale. The log can be purged in the admin screen to reduce its size as desired.
Optimized search of built-in custom product fields. This module does not require that you use a proprietary 3rd party module for the custom product fields. It uses the built-in custom product fields module from MIVA Corp, thereby ensuring compatibility with other 3rd party modules which use those same custom product fields. No need to go down that proprietary datafield path of no return. As example, the Emporium Plus Template Data Feed module can use the built-in custom product fields to populate feeds to just about any search engine and shopping index with those "special" fields those indexes require.
Live examples. We cannot link to our demo Merchant 5 store from MivaCentral so if you'd like to see a couple of the live pages demonstrating searches, please contact us for the link. You can check out the selected field search in our test store which has about 600 products with multiple custom product fields. Try some searches so you can get an idea of search speed.
Pre-defined selectors. The Power Search function can also be used for pre-defined select pulldowns in your store. An example of genre and decade searches are in the lower left column of our test store's storefront screen. It will search a specific field, with store owner pre-defined selections. This same technique can be used for things like manufacturer searches if you have a manufacturer field in your custom product fields.
Liberal licensing. License is for ONE domain/mall. Within that single mall, it can be used in multiple stores without additional licenses.
This module requires that you are using MIVA Engine v5.03 or newer. When you log into admin, you can see which version of the engine is in use in your store.
