Use caution when considering any modules from modStop. Their support has been reported by umpteen Miva Merchant users as suspect and worse. Some of their modules are simple and shouldn't require support. Please contact us with any questions concerning them or their modules.

1. Kitmaker - Group Price for Products Weiland / Emporium Plus

With Kitmaker, you can combine several related products into a kit and offer them as a group price. You can also combine unrelated products to establish a bundle offering. This product contains both the Kit Maker module and the Strike Thru module.

You simply enter a percentage discount in your admin and Miva Merchant will sum the prices of the individual items, then apply that discount to calculate the new kit price. If you change the price of a kit component, the kit price will be re-calculated when you update the kit assembly in admin AND when the kit product is displayed on the screen=PROD in merchant.

The kit component list can be displayed in the narrative description area on the product screen. You can display it at the beginning or end of the description or leave it off altogether. Each of the kit components is listed as a link to the individual product's screen so that customers can review the full description of each component. Each kit has the option to show or hide the percent savings.

If you want to show the full price as a strike thru you can select in admin to automatically calculate the product cost equal to the original prices of all of the components. Then install the striker.mv module (included with Kit Maker) and it will display a strike thru for all products where the cost exceeds the price, not just those products which are kits.

If using the OpenUI, the code is inserted automatically. If using the MMUI look and feel, two edits are required in the mmui.mv file for Kit Maker and one edit is required if you want to add the Strike Thru capability to your store.

New in the compiled version is compatibility interface with the OpenUI Tokens and Viking Coders product template module. Place the list of kit components on the product page so that it better fits your desired look. The kit component display can either use the default display (store owner does not need to know html) or the template which allows the store owner to rearrange the kit component display with or without thumbnail images.

Limitation: This module does not have inventory management oversight of the individual components for display or decrementing. If your components are such that they may likely be depleted, then you will need to scrutinize sales to determine when to remove the kit from the shelf.

2. Multiple Free Products Advanz Design / Miva Central

Offer customers a selection of multiple free products based on their basket total at checkout. Based on our single Free Product module, multiple levels of free products offers can be created to provide additional free products promotions. Each free products offer can vary by desired group of free products, maximum free product selections allowed, and minimum basket total required to trigger the free products offer. The free products offer page displays after the customer info checkout page and can be customized to your desired format with a flexible template/tokens style configuration.

Module configuration includes ability to exclude specific products from free products offer, free products offer page layout (via template/tokens), and free products offers with free products selection, minimum basket total, and maximum number of free product selections allowed.

Special promotions can boost sales, improve customer loyalty, and provide feedback from catalogs, mailings, and other advertisement distributions. Expand your Miva Merchant storefront's capabilities with our PromoTrk Fulfillment module, a powerfully configurable promotion solution.

An unlimited number of promotions can be set up with a variety of options. Provide fixed and percentage discounts off either specific products, or the entire order total, or simply offer a free product as the promotion. Limit the promotions to customers who meet certain product purchase requirements, order total minimums, etc.

A few of the many possible set-ups include: Buy 5 or more of a specific product, get one (or a different product) free, Purchase $100 or more and receive 15% off your order total, Buy any 10 items and receive 25% off a particular product line, or $5 off any order.

Unlike coupons or other discounts, these "promotions" consist of unique key codes that the customer can enter during checkout. You specify how many times a key code can be redeemed, as well as an expiration date. You can also configure the complexity of the key code, which is based on the promotion's code followed by a random string. For example, a key code with 5 letters and 1 digit might look like PROMO-DJE9XY. All key codes generated are tested to ensure uniqueness, and are automatically exported to a text file. You may also generate additional key codes for a promotion at any time, setting a new expiration date if necessary.

Mailing out 5,000 catalogs? Simply generate 5,000 unique promotion key codes and provide the file to your printer to be included on the mailing labels -- reward your customers while getting feedback on just how effective that catalog was. Going to a trade show? Put promotional codes on your literature or business cards. An ideal solution for stores looking to enhance their marketing strategy.

4. Free Product by Basket Total Advanz Design / Miva Central

Offer your storefront customers a free product based on their basket total at checkout. Module configuration includes minimum basket total required, free product selection, and free product screen header/footer. Any active storefront product can be selected for the free product offer. Add One to Order and Do Not Add to Order buttons can be configured through the button configuration section under the store settings of the storefront admin.

5. Clearance Products modStop /

Allows products to be flagged as "clearance" through the standard edit products screen in admin. The store admin can then upload an icon to be displayed in the store for clearance products. The icon appears next to the product name, and may be displayed on the search, category, product list, and/or product detail screens (configurable in admin). Additionally, an optional minimum purchase amount may be set, so if a customer orders any clearance products, the total amount for those clearance products must be met before checking out. If the customer attempts to checkout before meeting this purchase, they are sent the basket contents page and an error message (also configurable in admin) is displayed. The module also optionally allows a new "screen" to be created for additional information on the clearance program. If this option is used, the clearance icon is hyperlinked to this new screen.
