1. MS Excel Product Export to Flatfile DIGITAL PUBLISHERS / Miva CentralUse this Microsoft Excel 2000 Template to delimit your product data for importing into Merchant. Each cell/row is delimited to a text file exaclty as you've type it. Choose any delimiter. No mysteriously added double quotes. All hard returns (ALT-ENTER) are also removed allowing you to format your long product descriptions within the Excel Cell for easier reading. No limits on number of rows or columns it will delimit. The category codes are in a single field at the end of each product line. The product fields are separated with the pipe ¦ character. In order to import back into Merchant from this specially constructed export file, you will need to make a single line change in the standard Miva Merchant product import module. By including the category codes in the exported file, you can edit that flat file directly and reimport the changed file and your products will be put into the appropriate categories.
