Use caution when considering any modules from modStop. Their support has been reported by umpteen Miva Merchant users as suspect and worse. Some of their modules are simple and shouldn't require support. Please contact us with any questions concerning them or their modules.

1. CheckOut SuperMod Checkout Enhancement Copernicus / Miva Central

The CheckOut SuperMod allows your customers to determine the shipping method for each individual item in a single order and then the appropriate shipping and tax calculations are made to determine the total shipping amount for the entire order. Items in an order that are using the same shipping method are grouped to properly calculate the shipping price for the group of items. Now your customers can check out of your store with multiple shipping methods or shipping addresses* in the same order and the shipping is calculated properly.

Key Benefits Include:

• Advanced Shipping Screen that gives customers the ability to select a different shipping method for every item in the order
• When the Advanced Shipping Screen is used, the items in the order are internally grouped by shipping method so that items using the same shipping method are calculated and displayed together

2. Extra Customer Fields netBlazon / Miva Central

The Extra Customer Fields module allows you to specify additional customer information fields within your store, and also provides template-based layout control over the customer account screen and the customer information within all checkout screens. The extra customer fields can be displayed on all account and checkout screens, including the following:

• ACNT - Add / Edit Customer Account Screen,
• OINF - Checkout: Customer Information Screen,
• OSEL - Checkout: Shipping / Payment Selection Screen,
• OPAY - Checkout: Payment Screen, and
• INVC - Invoice Screen

The Extra Customer Fields module supports all standard Miva Merchant fields, and also allows a variety of input types for extra fields, including text field, text area, checkbox, radio button, single select list, multi-select list, country dropdown, and state dropdown - all configurable from within the module's easy to use administration interface.

Features

Global Settings Global Settings allows you to optionally set indicators to distinguish fields as required, optional, or both. Indicators can be shown before or after the field prompt. CSS styles are also applied to field prompts and input elements to indicate fields as required, optional, and/or invalid (when data is missing or incorrectly formatted).
Standard Fields Extra Customer Fields allows you to control even the standard customer fields. This administration section allows you to change the prompt for a field and to set optional field attributes, such as CSS selectors, size, and even JavaScript event handling code. Prompts can be dynamically controlled using OpenTokens - the prompt fields fully support all OpenToken functionality.
Templates The layout of the account screen and the customer portions of the checkout screens can be customized using templates and tokens. Each screen has its own template, and fields and their associated prompts are displayed via tokens. For example, %nbecf_fname_s% is replaced with the input box for the Ship-to First Name. There is also a template for the admin screen. Administrators can view and edit the data entered by customers within the Miva Merchant administration utility. The admin template determines the layout of this administration screen.
Extra Customer Fields Extra fields can be defined to collect additional information from your customers, either during checkout, account creation, or both. Each extra field is assigned a name, a prompt, an interface type, and optionally a default value and attributes. The name is hidden from customers, but is used as the token to represent this field within the templates. The prompt is the text label shown to customers. Several interface types are available, including text field, text area, dropdown menu, checkbox, radio button, single select, multi select, and even states and countries dropdowns with data pulled from the corresponding store databases. If a field is given a default value, that default value will be present when an empty form is loaded. Attributes are used to specify CSS selectors, sizes, and JavaScript event handlers. Finally, each field can be designated as required or optional. Dropdowns, radio buttons, and single and multi select fields also have options. These options are defined on a separate screen for each field, and can be reordered as needed.

3. Checkout Button Label Text netBlazon / Miva Central

The Checkout Button Label module allows you to change the text on the submit button for the final checkout page. The standard label is "Continue", but it is desirable to alert the user that this is the last step in the process, and that they are about to place their order. This module allows you to change the text on the final button to "Place Order" or any other text you may choose.

New: Version 2.1 allows you to upload an image to use in place of the standard grey HTML button.

4. Enhanced Final Checkout Button Advanz Design / Miva Central

Enhances the final checkout button by allowing only a single click to proceed to the invoice page. This eliminates duplicate orders and other storefront problems related to multiple clicks while the customer is waiting for the invoice to process, payment to verify/authorize, order fulfillment, etc. The final checkout button can also be customized independently of the other checkout/continue buttons with your own text/image button featured in the module configuration. This feature clearly prompts the storefront customer they are ready to complete the checkout process and submit their order.

5. Custom Customer Fields Interface v5 Emporium Plus / Miva Central

This interface module will display and retrieve customer entered information relative to customer accounts on the account create, account edit, and order customer information screens. You can even use it with the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to include the information in the order notification emails.

Interface with built-in custom customer fields: The built in custom customer fields module from MIVA Corp establishes the databases and provides an admin side interface for the store owner to enter custom customer data. This module provides the merchant public side for the customer to enter data into those custom fields.

Easy token implementation: Easily place tokens on the customer information collection screens using the standard MM5 template script. You can use the common "foreach" loop to display all of them together or you can break each field out for display in various parts of the screen. For example, you may want to collect a second address line just below the first address line and then later in the screen collect the company rep the customer deals with. To view the actual look of the screen, you can go to our pinemporium.com test store and create an account. You can change values in the fields with the account edit selection on the nav bar.

Flat file export: When a new customer account is created, all of the standard field values except the pgrpcount and password are saved to a flat file log. In addition to the standard fields, values entered into the custom fields are also saved to the flat file. Additionally, date and time fields are exported so you can determine exactly when a new customer account was created. The flat file is | delimited and can be FTPd to your PC with your FTP software and then imported into other programs. You can periodically delete the flat file and it will be recreated with the next new customer account creation.

Search new customer log: You can search the flat file log created when new customers sign-up. You can search on keyword, single date, and/or date range. The standard and custom fields will be displayed. The log display includes a link to the actual customer records so you can edit and make changes if needed.

Interface with email modules: The custom field values can be displayed in the merchant and customer notification emails if you are using the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to generate them.

Limitations:

• Custom customer fields are used for customer records. If the customer does not create or have an existing account, there is no place to save or use the information. Hence, on the 'OCST' checkout screen, it is best to wrap the custom customer field inputs within a conditional check for customer ID.
• There is no validation to ensure the custom fields are filled in. Therefore, they are all optional.
• If you want to display the custom customer fields in the notification emails, you will need to use an email module capable of using custom field tokens, for example the Mail Manager.
• The inputs will disable html and SQL injection hacks. It is expected customers will be entering text or checkbox entries. While textarea inputs can be used, internal actions will be taken to reduce hacker attempts. So if you need custom fields that will accept html, this module is not for you.

8. OpenJoinList OpenModules / Miva Central

OpenJoinList™ allows you to offer a checkbox to your shoppers to send an email to auto-join your store's external mailing lists. You can also optionally bypass the checkbox, and automatically join them.

You can completely configure the format of the email, the subject line, and the To/From/CC email addresses.

The display of the checkbox is also completely configurable. They will automatically hook-in on the checkout screen, or you can display them anywhere in your store, using OpenTokens, or using the many template modules (like the OpenDesigner).
