For some more holidays shopping, you can attract new customers by making a little contest: Set an odds number on the "Mail to select customer" subtab and write the letter the winning customers would receive. This e-mail could, say, contain a promotion code or a download link, info about the prize you would send to them, etc. Then the module will draw the select customers among the newcomers.

The Categories in Basket Screen module provides enhanced display of your basket screen with: 1) categories the product is in, 2) thumbnail image of the product, and 3) combined prices of products + attributes into a single price for each product.This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x.We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.This module is licensed to one domain.It may be used in more than one store within the same domain without additional licensee fees. The tokens are added to the 'bask' and 'invc' page templates to implement the features you want to use in this component module. You can insert the category name directly below the product name in the Basket (BASK) and Invoice (INVC) screens.When a product is in more than one category, the module displays all of them.Each category name is linked to the corresponding category list screen in the Basket Screen. In addition to categories in the basket, the module also provides the url for the thumbnail image which can be displayed in the basket.The thumbnail display is not in the built-in basket display so this module provides that extra feature. Also, the module creates a basket price sum variable which can optionally be displayed in the basket and invoice.This price variable combines the product's basket base price with its attribute prices so that you can show the sum total for the product and hide the individual attribute prices in the basket.If you want to allow customers to see the amounts itemized, you can even make a link to the basket screen and pass a parameter that shows the basket with the product and attribute prices separated by using a conditional display.Creating a sum variable which is different from the original display variable was done to prevent potential conflict with other vendor's 3rd party modules.I could have intercepted the price and changed the variable used for regular price display, but that would likely have led to conflicts as more vendors create modules that effect price display in the basket.So instead, you have both variables and can choose which to display.For those who also want to have combined prices in the merchant and customer emails, you can use the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module which has tokens for this purpose. Requirements: compiled Merchant 4/CBS Dynamic Templates/ftp access to your stores mivadata folder. Tokens for use in DT are explained in the Tokens_readme.txt available in the distribution.
Pre-Documentation Benefits of the module: Your client can login and get the price you've negotiated or assigned to them. You can have unlimited amount of price lists. In other words: Client A can get Product A for $99.95. Client B can get Product A for $109.95 while the customer that hasn't negotiated with you and logs in, or not, gets the default price of Product A at $129.95. How module works: Admin: During install, the module creates example files, customer.dat and pricelist.dat. The Admin or store operator edits these files and places them back in the IDS_WHOLESALE folder -- probably via FTP. You add Customer logins and a price list filename to the customer.dat file. The customer.dat filename is assigned in the System admin. Also, the filename doesn't have to be customer.dat. On Linux/Unix(and maybe some Winserver configs), you will need to beware of case in the filenames. We suggest to keep lowercase filenames. The pricelist.dat is the referenced file that stores the prices of any or all the products available to this list. There can be more than one list -- as many as you need. The customer.dat points the specific user to a a specific list. The list stores specific prices to specific products.There is no calculation in terms of percentages, etc. End User: When your customer/client logs in, they will see the product price display based on the assigned list. If the user is in the customer.dat file with an assigned pricelist filename, product price will be from the price list instead of the MM product database. If a product is NOT in the assigned list, the products displayed price will be the default from the stores product database.
