Found 26 Modules or Applications that might fit the bill
Use caution when considering any modules from modStop. Their support has been reported by umpteen Miva Merchant users as suspect and worse. Some of their modules are simple and shouldn't require support. Please contact us with any questions concerning them or their modules.
As a Miva Merchant storefront licensee, you have discovered that you have a powerful shopping cartsystem. One of the strengths of Miva Merchant is its ability to plugin 3rd party modules to provideoff-the-shelf, additional features at reasonable cost. You may have found that the cost can quicklyadd up and you are not exactly sure which additional features would be of benefit. We haveassembled a bundle of eleven of our most popular plugin modules. Literally hundreds of storeshave found these to be the "must have" modules. As this is a bundle, it's cumulative price is about 33% less than the sum of the individual module prices.
The modules in this bundle can be classified as storefront enhancement, discount, checkout, search engine optimization, and administrative back-end modules. The detailed modulefeatures and capabilities can be reviewed by clicking on the module names in the componentslist below. Please review each of the individual product descriptions so you fully understandwhat is included before selecting this bundle deal.
Non-refundable: Due to the number of popular modules included in this bundle, thisbundle deal is not refundable.
Compiled MIVA Merchant 5 only: This specific bundle is only available for MIVA Merchant 5 andnewer. As it is a starter kit, nobody should be creating new stores with older versions of MivaMerchant anyway. However, if you are looking for a starter kit for compiled Merchant 4.x, take a look at our other starter kit bundle.
The modules currently fully support the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. They also support MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. At this time we have not had a problem. Modules will be moved to the top of the queue as needed.

Compiled Merchant only: This bundle is only available for Miva Merchant 4.14 and newer. As it is a starter kit, nobody should be creating new stores with old versions of Miva Merchant anyway.
Baker's Dozen: For a limited time, if you order this bundle, you can get one more Emporium Plus individual module (bundles are not eligible) at no extra charge in a separate order. Email Emporium Plus after paying for the starter kit and tell us which module you would like as a bonus and we will send you a coupon code for a second order to get that module free. A popular free module could be our Customer and Product Administration module which lets customers view their order history among other things (value $40.00).
OpenUI Required: About half of these modules require installation of the OpenUI before they can be installed.
Take a look over the shoulder of a Miva Merchant professional as he takes you through every step, every module (almost), every function. Complete with "live" comments unedited, you'll learn while feeling like you're sitting next to a Miva Guru.
This tutorial subscription is different than all other Miva Merchant training methods because it is constantly updated, there are OpenUI and MMUI tutorials, as well as extensive tutorials on most popular third party modules, including offline products like Storeman. With the cooperation of third party developers, when a module is updated, or a new module is released, Merchant How To will create a new tutorial.
And more as it is released. Click the link to see examples of tutorials.
NOTES: Please allow up to 24 hours for activation. Tutorial Flash files can be large, so it is recommended that you have a broadband Internet connection to enjoy the tutorials. This tutorial subscription is new, so not all tutorials listed at MerchantHowTo.com are immediately available. Also, since this subscription is essentially electronic distribution of knowledge, and since there are several examples and a list of tutorials available prior to purchase, no refunds can be granted on these tutorials.
With Kitmaker, you can combine several related products into a kit and offer them as a group price. You can also combine unrelated products to establish a bundle offering. This product contains both the Kit Maker module and the Strike Thru module.
You simply enter a percentage discount in your admin and Miva Merchant will sum the prices of the individual items, then apply that discount to calculate the new kit price. If you change the price of a kit component, the kit price will be re-calculated when you update the kit assembly in admin AND when the kit product is displayed on the screen=PROD in merchant.
The kit component list can be displayed in the narrative description area on the product screen. You can display it at the beginning or end of the description or leave it off altogether. Each of the kit components is listed as a link to the individual product's screen so that customers can review the full description of each component. Each kit has the option to show or hide the percent savings.
If you want to show the full price as a strike thru you can select in admin to automatically calculate the product cost equal to the original prices of all of the components. Then install the striker.mv module (included with Kit Maker) and it will display a strike thru for all products where the cost exceeds the price, not just those products which are kits.
If using the OpenUI, the code is inserted automatically. If using the MMUI look and feel, two edits are required in the mmui.mv file for Kit Maker and one edit is required if you want to add the Strike Thru capability to your store.
New in the compiled version is compatibility interface with the OpenUI Tokens and Viking Coders product template module. Place the list of kit components on the product page so that it better fits your desired look. The kit component display can either use the default display (store owner does not need to know html) or the template which allows the store owner to rearrange the kit component display with or without thumbnail images.
Limitation: This module does not have inventory management oversight of the individual components for display or decrementing. If your components are such that they may likely be depleted, then you will need to scrutinize sales to
determine when to remove the kit from the shelf.
An example of a product assembled using Kit Maker is at

The Order Fulfillment Kit provides HTML customer invoices with file attachments for soft goods deliveries, custom generated license keys for software or other electronically distributed products, and an XML notification system for transmitting order data (and license keys) instantly to external locations or license servers.
The Order Fulfillment Kit helps storeowners automate the fulfillment processes. For the retailer of electronically distributed products or other products that require an on-demand license key, this module gives you the ability to provide (random or custom generated) license keys to your customer immediately upon the purchase of a downloadable product. Additionally, soft-goods products can be immediately sent to customers as file attachments of their HTML invoice, and the generated license keys can be transmitted to external license servers via XML. For the retailer of hard goods that must be packaged and shipped to the customer, this module turns a completed Miva Merchant invoice into an XML message and sends that message to a designated CGI application on an external web server allowing the order information to be immediately catalogued in a database for order fulfillment. Additionally, retailers can use this information for customer retention campaigns, historical data collection and data mining.
Key Benefits:
HTML email invoice with file attachments
Fully customizable HTML template for your customer order fulfillment email
Soft goods can be attached* to the order invoice or sent as individual emails
Email template uses the same DynamicTemplate Engine used in other CBS products
License Key Generator with API
Creates keys immediately upon the payment of an order
Provides an API for custom licensing key generation
Example random key generator (with source) included
Keys can be listed in the email invoice underneath each product that requires a key
Keys can be sent separately to the customer in a second email
Order detail notification via XML message
XML order details sent to any CGI application on external web server
Entire invoice can be sent as an XML message to an external server
Or optionally, only those products with license information are sent as an XML message to an external server
Fail-safe XML notification: In the event the external server cannot accept an XML message at time of sending (i.e. server is down) or the server rejects the XML message, a “fallback” email is sent to a designated employee with the XML and reason for failure.
*Note: Recommended maximum total email attachment size is approximately 500kB.

UDPATED VERSION - NEW AND IMPROVED!
We went all out with this latest release of the OpenUI. We have included the following enhancements:
OpenBatches™ - This simplifies order processing in Miva Merchant like never before. You no longer have to go back and forth between the left-hand tree and right-hand main window. From the right hand main window, searchable lists allow you to search, view, edit, or delete batches. This screen also allows you to view orders within a particular batch via OpenOrders™, shows if you have new orders, and even enables you to create a new batch. This all happens from ONE interface.
OpenOrders™ - Using the main window, you now have a searchable order list that allows you to filter by all orders, only unbatched orders, or by orders within an individual batch. You can further filter by order number, product code, order total range, and by date and time range. From this screen, you can also edit and delete individual orders. Once again, this all happens in ONE interface.
An optional statistics interface that works with both the OpenBatches™ and OpenOrders™can be unlocked with the purchase of an OpenUI Pro license key. Find out your top sellers, revenue generators, sales by the hour and day, and much MORE! Read More Detailed Information!
This additional license key is solely for statistics features and will have NO impact on existing or future OpenUI installations. All stores will continue to function with the same capabilities as before and include the great features listed below.
Shorter URLS for Google - It was recently announced in a newsletter geared toward search engines and Miva Merchant that category and product pages without the store code in the url were being readily indexed by the top search engine in the world, Google. If you only have one store, the OpenUI will automatically remove the store code from all urls in the category tree, product list, search results, and basket contents screen. If you have two stores, your store code will remain in the url.
Example:Instead of merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CODE&Category_Code=CATEGORY, it will be: merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=CATEGORY This applies to compiled stores with the mvc extension as well.
Feature added based on recommendations from JMH Web Services (jmhonline.net). *This information has been updated to reflect new findings from JMH. Google now does not have a problem with the store code.
Category and Product Names First in Title Tags- Miva Merchant and previously the OpenUI put your store name before the category and product names in their respective screens title tag (i.e. Store Name: Category or Product Name). Depending on the length of your store name, your category and product titles may not be appearing in your search engine listings title phrase! With the new and improved OpenUI, your category and product titles will be first in the title tag, resulting in better listings within search engines (i.e.Category or Product Title: Store Name).
Feature added based on recommendations from JMH Web Services (jmhonline.net).
A New (Optional) Interface for the Miva Merchant Navigation Bar (navbar)- You now have better (and more) control over which navigation buttons are displayed, as well as many other features including:
Ability to specify cellpadding and cellspacing of navbar.
Optional navbar background image.
Options to align navbar (i.e. Full, Center, Left, Right).
Ability to change navbar buttons including the logo to space, text, etc.
Token replacement in the Cell "links" can be done using the %VAR(varname )% convention. For example, to include the g.sessionurl, just use "%VAR(g.sessionurl)%". To include the store id, use "%VAR(Stores.d.id)%". Most available variables can be used, but they will all be filtered through the encodeentities() function before they are substituted.
Feature added based on recommendations from Rich Chatfield (customMvDesign.com).
Support for New Attribute Types Built-In- New Attribute Types were previously only supported in the uncompiled versions of Miva Merchant, but will now be in both the compiled and uncompiled versions, and will not require the Admin Extension installation.
Support for module Order Tabs Built-In- module Order Tabs were previously only supported in the uncompiled versions of Miva Merchant, but will now be in both the compiled and uncompiled versions, and will not require the Admin Extension installation.
Body and Head Tag Options - You don't need additional modules anymore for these two fields if you use the latest version of the OpenUI! Include javascript, cascading style sheets, meta tags, margin height and width, preload images, and much more. For example:
<Select One> Option for Drop-Down Lists - You can now include Select One as the default prompt for attributes, shipping options, and payment option drop-down lists. The default prompt is also customizable for each one. (i.e i.e <Choose Color>, <Select A Shipping Method>, <Select Payment Method>)
The OpenUI Look & Feel Pro License Key unlocks a special feature of the latest OpenUI module. Once you unlock this feature with your license, you will be able to see the total stats for the orders in one batch, all unbatched orders, or all orders regardless of classification. The stats page gives a total sales summary, and then breaks the total sales down by day-of-the-week and time of day (by the hour) the orders were made. The stats page also lists the top selling products and top revenue generators for the specified parameters. The stats are based on the filtering options you currently have set, allowing you to specify exactly what information you would like to generate. For example, if you are in the customer screen on the OpenOrders™ tab and click on the stats button, you will see the stats of that customer's order only. If you have filtered the orders based on the order total and the date range, then the stats will be based on this filter. The stats button gives you immense flexibility because it allows you to view stats using a single filter or any combination of filters. For example, you can see the top 20 products from those that purchased SOMEPRODUCT, or those that have spent over a designated amount....or use both filters. All these resources are available simply by clicking the stats button, which appears on both the OpenOrders™and OpenBatches™ screens.
This additional license key is solely for the new stats features and will have NO impact on existing or future Open UI installation. All stores will continue to function with the same capabilities as before. You can purchase a key by clicking here.

Add additional field data within the product narrative description. This data will appear on the screen as if it is in a separate field, but is really just part of the narrative memo field. This Merchant version 2.22 or 3.x module handles the parsing so that the customer only sees the data in the appropriate places.
No modification to the products database structure is required. No additional databases are required to support this additional data. The additional data is added into product records just as any other product data, through admin or via flat file import. This provides easier code maintainability and faster data access. Since the data is stored within the product narrative description field, that data is immediately available to the standard Merchant search function with no code modification. This is the simplest way to display additional data in the product and category screens as if it is in separate fields instead of just narrative data. By doing this, the data stands out as name - value pairs, eg Author: Hemmingway.
An added benefit is that you can have within your store products with different types of additional field data. Some products might need additional fields such as author, publisher, and date while other products might need fields such as composer, vocalist, and country of origin. This software product is an example of such a situation. Most of the products in my store are movie posters and contain additional fields related to them. That field data is stored in separate fields and maintained via prodmore (module for importing additional field data into separate fields). While this product record contains those same additional fields (naturally they are empty), I have added four fields via Flexible Product Description, which only appear in this product record. You can see them as Merchant Version, User Interface, CIM Tool Kit, Combo and New Image in the CTGY and PROD screens. In a Merchant 3.0 store, they can also appear in expanded product display screens for SRCH and PLST. I've also added the New Image field to some of the new product records to demonstrate the flexibility this feature provides. You can see the search box on the store front which lists new products by month.
New in the compiled version is compatibility interface with the OpenUI Tokens and Viking Coders product template module. Place the additional field data on the product page so that they better fit your desired look. Pseudo-fields, brief and keyword, can be used by Static
Catalog Generator to improve search engine ranking for both

The ultimate in targetted e-mailing, the eTargetMailer allows you to easily reach your customers for special offers, targetted newsletters, etc. by utilizing the Order history and Customers database from your online store.
The full administration interface for this Merchant Utility module makes setup and configuration simple. You can create and save any number of targetted e-mail templates, which contain specific targetting information as well as e-mail content. eTargetMailer offers many powerful targetting features, allowing you to direct your e-mails to customers who fit any number of profiles:
A minimum number of orders
A minimum combined order total
A minimum single-order total
Purchase of particular qualifying product(s)
All targetting is based on either the entire Order history for your store, or a specific date range for orders. Customers who meet the profile specified in the targetting settings will receive an e-mail defined in the template, with options for specifying the Subject, From e-mail address, etc. All messages are comprised of a 'Header' content area and 'Footer' content area, as well as optional 'Product Includes' in the body area based on which qualifying products a customer has purchased.
Message content in eTargetMailer? also includes powerful 'Macro' features allowing you to easily personalize your e-mails. All customer information, such as First and Last Names, e-mail addresses, etc. (for both Bill-To and Ship-To fields) can be included in message content, as well as special macros for the Number of Orders during the specified date range, the combined Order Total, and the highest Single-Order Total. The optional 'Product Includes' sections also allow extra macros representing the Product Code, Product Name, and the Quantity ordered during the specified date range.
Once a template is defined and saved, a quick glance shows you when the last time a mailing was processed for that template, as well as the number of messages sent during the last mailing and the total sent overall. One click will start processing a template, automatically e-mailing all customers that match your target profile. No need to worry about timeouts either, as the eTargetMailer can easily scale to send e-mails to a theoretically unlimited number of customers.
This very powerful and versatile utility can leverage your existing customer database and help encourage repeat business. A few examples of the vast options and many uses include:
e-mail all customers who bought Widget X and Widget Y, and bought more than $5,000, between January and March with a special offer
e-mail all customers who have placed more than 5 orders in the past year with a coupon to reward them for their repeat business
e-mail any customer who made a purchase during the past month in your store to follow-up on the sale
e-mail any customer that bought an Acme Dynamite Kit to warn about a recall
All features are easily configured through the Admin interface.
The Import/Export SuperMod™ provides advanced data imports and exports for all Miva Merchant databases, including the ability to directly import and export any 3rd party module databases. Any Miva Merchant database can be edited directly in any text editor, spreadsheet or desktop database program such as Microsoft Access and Excel.
Key Benefits Include:
Never purchase another import or export module again!
Export any Miva Merchant database to tab-delimited text file, including 3rd party module databases
Edit the text file using your favorite desktop application such as Microsoft™ NotePad, Excel or Access
Import the changes back into your Miva Merchant store
Provides Import/Export capability for modules that do not provide data imports or exports natively
Fix corrupted databases and store packing issues with a text editor
Time-out safe! Export and import large databases without any worries of the web server or browser timing out! Features automatic refreshing to cycle through large import files.
Miva Merchant storeowners now have a single import/export solution for handling any data transfer operation, regardless of the module provider or Miva Merchant feature. The Import/Export SuperMod can export any Miva Merchant database to flat file. The storeowner can then edit this file and re-import the changes!
Example Usage 1: Importing Large Product Databases Customers who have many products often have difficulty uploading all products through the standard Miva Merchant product import. Timeouts can prevent the import from completing, leaving the store in an unknown state. The Import/Export SuperMod provides timeout protection, and will allow the store-owner to load even the largest of product databases without timeout issues.
Example Usage 2: Fixing Duplicate Record Issues A common problem for some Miva Merchant users, duplicate database records or ids can cause significant operational issues within your Miva Merchant store. Until now, the only way to fix the duplicate records was to edit the Miva Database files by hand, which requires special purpose database software or contracting to a Miva consultant. The Import/Export SuperMod provides the storeowner with an easy way to edit and fix duplicate database records using any text editor, Excel or even Access.
Example Usage 3: Import and Export 3rd Party Module Data Many excellent third party modules exist that provide extended store functionality. However, many of these products do not contain an import/export function for configuration data. If the module allows configuration for each category or product, configuring it properly in a large store can be very time consuming using the Miva Merchant web interface. The Import/Export SuperMod allows the storeowner to export any database, including those from 3rd party modules! Now importing configuration data into any module database, regardless of the module vendor, can be accomplished
Please note: If you are using OpenDB, to be able to use this module you will also need to have installed MvSQL QUERY - available on MvCool for $15 or as a source kit for free on the CBS website.
