1 Wait List Manager Weiland / Miva CentralCustomers can identify products that they would like to purchase but are currently out of stock. Once you place the product in stock, you can run the Send Email routine from the admin interface. It sends an unlimited number of notifications as one process, using Miva Engine functions to prevent timeout. Each waiting customer will receive an email telling them that the product is back in stock. If you are using my Inventory Management (IM) module (version 2.x or 3.x) or Miva's Inventory Management (version 4.x), the wait list manager will automatically insert the Wait List link on the product page when the quantity is zero or less (version 2.x or 3.x) or out of stock (version 4.x configurable on a product by product basis). If you have modified your IM (version 2.x or 3.x) to allow ordering at less than zero to a specified lower amount, you can modify the Wait List Manager to account for that. In 4.x, this is determined by the global default or individual product's "out" setting. You can even block the automatic link insertion by including the product code in the blocking list through the admin interface. If you are not using an Inventory Management module, you can still use the Wait List Manager by manually inserting the link into the product description of products you want to "Wait List". In the case of "other" inventory management systems, you can insert the link into the code that those systems generate for out-of-stock messages. When the customer clicks the Wait List link they are taken to a form to verify/enter their email address. If they are logged in, it inserts their email address for them. If not, they just type it in. The form also lists the number of other customers waiting for the item if that number is 5 or above (just to the right of the product name). This will give customers a sense of urgency when they receive the in-stock notification. When they add themselves to the list, you have the option (in admin) of sending them a thank you (for their interest) email. If you employ this option, it will also tell them their position on the Wait List. When products are in short supply, that may be something your customers would like to know. Also, if they are already on the Wait List, and sign up again, it will not duplicate their record, rather it will email them that they are already on the list and what their current position is on the list. The admin configuration screen allows you to vary the name and/or image associated with this program so you aren't locked into the term "Wait List". You can also change the colors and fonts in the form along with the verbage in the form and notification email. You may even want to pass on a coupon code in the notification email for customers who have been waiting for a product. When editing an individual product in admin, you can also display all of the Wait List records associated with that product. They can be deleted manually in this screen if you don't plan to restock the item. There is also a handy link for mailing them to verify their continued interest in the item. For those not using an Inventory Management, this is also the screen that allows you to use Wait List to notify customers when an item is re-stocked. The Inventory Override works with either no online inventory system or inventory systems from other 3rd party module providers. Naturally, it also works with mine (version 2.x and 3.x) and Miva's (version 4.x) inventory systems. You can even limit the notification in this screen to just some of the waiting customers. This is useful when you only receive a small number of the out-of-stock item and there are many more waiting for it. Since the entries are arranged in order, it is easy to give those on the waiting list the longest, the first shot at the newly re-stocked item. You can quickly get a summary of all of the items on "Wait List" to provide you with a re-order, based on demand, tool. When you Send Email, the module searches all products with a stock level (if using mine or Miva's Inventory Management systems) above zero and checks the product code against the Wait List database. Pending Wait List customers are notified of the re-stock of the product and their Wait List record is then deleted. This module works with both the Miva Merchant and OpenUI look and feel user interfaces. Minor editing is required if you are not using the OpenUI.

To help the store owner identify needs quickly, an optional CC email can be sent when an item is wait listed. You will use render tokens in the Merchant 5page templates to insert the Wait List prompt. There is an alternate template form for the customer to enter their name and email address. This template can be HTML customized to suit your look and feel. If you are not skilled at coding HTML, you can still use the default (built in) form which is customized with colors, fonts, etc with easy inputs in admin. The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. Back to Top3 Out of Stock/Coming Soon Wait List Viking Coders / Miva CentralThe highly configurable Out of Stock Wait List module allows customers to be notified when stock levels are replenished for items that are temporarily out of stock. It can also be used for "coming soon" items so customers can sign up to be notifed when an item is available. This module features advanced admin options such as customizable messages and buttons, "tokens" which give you full display control and allow dynamic content of notification messages, an inventory threshold level that must be met before sending back in stock notifications, a continue shopping button that remembers where the customer came from after adding an item, and more. Wait List buttons appear on all product pages, including category pages, search results, products list pages, and full product display pages, for out of stock items which are not set to be hidden when out of stock. All items on the wait list can be viewed and selectively processed via the easy to use utility console. The auto-refresh mailing engine can send an unlimited number of notifications at once without timing out. Notifications for all items back in stock can be sent with a single click, or you can selectively decide which notifications to send in the console. This module is fully compatible with all the features of the inventory system with Merchant 4.x, including support for product-by-product out of stock levels. (Out of stock levels do not necessarily have to be zero in Merchant 4.x.) With a polished user interface and administrative back-end, the Out of Stock Wait List module is a full featured system to prevent low stock levels from turning away customers. | Features: - Multiple category templates in a single store - One or more categories can be assigned to use a specific template - Default template is used for categories which do not have a custom template assigned - Custom pagination in addition to the default Previous and Next buttons - Can limit products displayed per page to a specific number for each template or can list all on one page - Customer can sort products within the category in real time dynamically - Breadcrumb navigation included - Sub-category navigation included |
Feature Details. Multiple page templates. Using the built-in store morph technology, you can edit the page templates just like the built-in page templates, including recall, notes, and indexing of previous versions. Include typical render tokens on the custom category pages from other 3rd party modules (sold separately) which you have in your store, e.g. rate this, wait list, best seller, and others. Easy assignment of categories to templates. Once you create the template you can assign one or more categories to it. This can be done from the Category Edit screen or if you are using the Emporium Plus Category Import module (sold separately), you can import the template assignment right along with importing new categories into the store. No need to import the categories with one module and then use a separate module to assign them to templates. Default page for unassigned categories. The default ctgy page template is used for all categories which have not been assigned to a specific custom template. This makes processing more efficient as the Category Manager runs a quick lookup to determine if it needs to run certain more complex processing routines, like advanced pagination. Advanced page navigation. Several pagination variables are available to write detailed page navigation links. You can have the typical 1 2 3 4 etc. Or you can break up long lines with arrows, dots, dashes, etc to fill in a gap. You can also display the page number of the total number of pages. This pagination is similar to that used in the Emporium Plus Power Search module for Merchant 5. As a point of reference for the customer, you can even include how many products are listed in the category. Flexible pagination. Each category template can have a different setting for the number of products to display on a page. Initially, the customer will see the number you set. However, customers using broadband may want to see all the product in a category on a single page, so there is an option to list all. On-the-fly sorting. The products are initially displayed in the sort order which the store owner has previously setup in the normal admin sorting. The customer can then change the sort order based on their desires. Available sort fields are name, code, price, date items were added to the store, or the default store setup. They can be sorted ascending or descending. Breadcrunb navigation. The module includes optional breadcrumb navigation. An array is created which holds the current category name and its parents up to the top level category. With standard MIVA Merchant template code, you can create a quick link to higher categories like Home > Software > Developer Bundles Sub-category navigation. You can display the sub-categories of a parent category on the category page, e.g. below the parent category's name. The array can be displayed like you want it using standard MIVA Merchant template code. We cannot link to our demo stores from MivaCentral so if you'd like to see a couple of the live pages demonstrating single or multiple column layout of products, please contact us for links. Those pages demonstrate the variable layout of products, breadcrumb navigation, on-the-fly sorting, and sub-category navigation. Back to TopA robust inventory tracking module that provides you with the ability to track inventory down to the option level (combination of options actually; large red, large green, etc.).
Unlike the stock Merchant inventory feature, this module lets you define as many inventory notification "levels" as you want each with it's own inventory cut-off. For each level you can configure emails to be sent as well as determine what action, if any, is to be taken when the product's inventory reaches that level. You can configure the levels to take no action, prevent the sale of the product, or prevent the display of the product (by making the product inactive). So you could have a level for "low inventory" and assign a cut-off of say 3 items to it and that notification level will be triggered and send you an email notifying you that inventory is getting low. You could also specify a second level of "out of stock" and assign a cut-off of 0 items to it. When the inventory reaches the cut-off for "low inventory" it will send out emails as configured for that level and prevent further sales of the module.
The inventory count is adjusted as the customer adds the product to their basket. However, the module doesn't wait until you delete expired baskets to retrieve inventory. It can be configured to dynamically sweep the inventory of expired baskets back into stock. It sweeps every time the product is displayed so no inventory "lingers" in expired baskets. It can also be done from within the module's admin and the inventory display on the individual product's "Inventory Manager" page shows you how many of the product are currently in "unexpired" baskets (the expired baskets already having been cleaned of inventory before the count is displayed).
The module will let you track inventory for any combination of attributes and options that a product might have (you can even track inventory for "checkbox" type attributes; I don't know why anyone would want to but I'm sure someone will eventually discover that they need to).
In addition, instead of tracking inventory by "count", you can select to track a product in "simple" mode; e.g. you can assign a particular notification level to a product (eg. "in stock" or "out of stock") but the inventory count itself does not change. The inventory level stays the same until you change it in admin. The ability to track in simple mode is an option for each product/attribute. So you can track some of your items in "simple" mode while using the full capability of the module in tracking the inventory of others.
The module has the ability to display the inventory and control the display on the products, category, search, and product listing pages. It also has tokens for use with our Template modules as well as the OpenUI.

MVSecure is here! And it can save your business from the high cost of fraud and chargebacks.
The MVSecure for Authorize.Net is fully integrated with the latest Verified by VISA™ and MasterCard SecureCode™ payment initiatives. These programs are being used by large retailers such as Wal-Mart, JetBlue Airways, and OfficeDepot to help ensure a safe e-commece environment for the merchant and the customer. Today more than 50 million cardholders are enrolled in this program. Now for the first time, the benefits of this program are available to small and medium sized merchant who want the same level of chargeback and fraud protection.
MVSecure for Authorize.Net is built using the AIM (Advanced Integration Method) so there is no commerce library required. Just install into your Miva Merchant storefront and it's ready to go. A simple checkbox activates the powerful authentication features. Turn authentication off and MVSecure performs like a standard Authorize.Net module. We've added CVV2 verification and MD5 Hash for improved security.
Here's how it works...
Visa and MasterCard have both developed a system where the customer can register
their credit card online and assign to their cards a "passcode". It
is this code that the Verified By Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs asks
for when the customer shops in your storefront. Even before accessing your payment
gateway for the credit card processing, VBV and MSC are run on the card. If
approved, the transaction continues on to the gateway for processing. If declined,
the customer receives a failure notice and fraud is prevented. Here is a visual
example of how the process works for your customers:

Want more? With MVSecure you can save up to 5 basis points on all of your transactions. Plus, Visa will gurarantee each and every transaction that you attempt to authenticate. No more chargebacks, no more fraud! Plus we give you FREE enrollment and low transaction fees, so your total cost can be less than the price of one lost or fradulent sale. Why take chances? Enroll today and protect you business. We strongly encourage your to contact your acquiring bank for details on your potential savings and chargeback protections.

Details...
The MVSecure for Authorize.Net plug-in requires enrollment in the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs before you can begin authenticating transactions. You will receive the link to the enrollment form from Cenera soon after you receive your invoice. Enrollment is managed by Cenera in partnership with Cardinal Commerce. This enrollment is FREE for customers who purchase the MVSecure plug-in. There is a $10 per month fee to use the program that includes 100 FREE transactions. After that you pay just $.10 (ten cents) per transaction. There are no other fees, ever. And Cenera will give one FREE upgrade to the latest version available.

The purpose of this module is to allow customers to place an order at a Miva Merchant™ Storefront Development System © Miva Corp which they will then pay for using their PayPal © x.com account. This payment module is licensed per domain. No additional store licenses are required if used within the same mall. The current version works with Merchant 2.x, 3.x and 4.x.
If your PayPal account is either a "Business" or "Premier" PayPal account, this module guides the customer to the PayPal payment screens so that they do not get to the invoice screen without properly entering pay data. When the customer clicks the Pay button at the PayPal site, you can have the PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) send a silent update back to your payment history file which can be viewed in your Merchant admin:order edit screen. Unlike some other modules, if the customer does not return to Merchant, his order will still be processed and email notifications sent. When returning to your store, the invoice page will be displayed. You can also add additional instructions to inform customers what to expect at the PayPal site through the admin interface. If you are using Addendum in your store, you will need to use Addendum version 3.08 or newer when using the PayPal module. If your PayPal account is a "Personal" account, the flow for payment is a bit different. Contact me if your PayPal account is a "personal" PayPal account and I will give you the details.
Although the PayPal system is not like real time credit card processing and authorization systems, it is more like using the simple credit card validation. PayPal does the authorization using it's web accept and sends you a confirmation email. You match the Merchant notification emails with the PayPal confirmation emails. For added security, it is advisable to check the status on the PayPal web site (linked within Merchant admin). Once confirmations are verified that the money has transferred to your account, you can ship the products.
The Merchant version 2.x, 3.x and 4.x PayPal payment module can be used with both the MMUI and OpenUI look and feel. A single edit is needed if you are using the MMUI AND your PayPal account is a "Personal" account. If you have a "Business" or "Premier" PayPal account, the MMUI edit is NOT needed. An optional code edit can be also made to include the payment method in the merchant notification email. You may find it advantageous to use our Show Payment Type module instead which lists all payment methods in the email, not just PayPal. No code edits are needed if you are using the OpenUI for either the PayPal or Show Payment Type modules.
New in the compiled version is a report module. You can list orders by any time frame and specify only orders with a specific product code in them. You can also sort it by state or country according to their paypal.com account registration
This module is particularly useful for the small sized Mom and Pop store which does not want the added expense of setting up Merchant credit card accounts and having to meet minimum sales quotas. This store is a prime example, as I do not take credit cards directly. Rather you can pay for software at this store using PayPal, by signing up and debiting your credit card at PayPal. Try it out, I think you'll like it.
Additionally, it is a nice option for the big guys in that it makes online fulfillment possible for those customers who don't have credit cards but have built up an online balance through their own sales, e.g. through eBay. PayPal is the predominant method of payment at eBay. There are over 16,000,000 million PayPal accounts. Do not overlook these as potential customers at your store. Over 30,000 websites accept PayPal and are listed in the PayPal Shops at paypal.com. Can you afford not to be in that list? PayPal accounts are available to customers in the United States and many other countries around the world.
PayPal is currently giving you $5 to sign up and complete the bonus requirements. So do the math. Signup, order this $20 module and let PayPal pay $5 of the cost. How long this will last is anybody's guess, so don't wait too long.
If you are not familiar with how PayPal works, check it out. If you like it, sign up, then add this payment option to your store.

Back to TopProvides tokens and templates formatting for some of the "other" pages of Merchant. You can create templates and assign them to some of the pages of Merchant (currently the module supports template assignment to BASK (basket page), PLST (product listing), LOGN (customer login), and Missing Attributes), Upsell, Search, etc. In addition, you can create a template for you own page, create a "screen" variable for it and link to it directly.
The category and product pages are still best handled by the Category Page Templates and Product Page Templates module, the storefront by the Storefront Template Module, and the search page by the Search Manager)
The templates are created and modified exactly like the templates in the other template modules. However since they are assigned to screens rather than products or categories, that part is a bit different.
The way Merchant works is that most of the pages are assigned "identifiers" which Merchant uses to determine what page is to be generated. For example, if the variable Screen is set to BASK, Merchant knows that it needs to display the basket screen. The module intercepts that process to use templates to display the screen instead of Merchant's default screen. This is done by assigning templates to the identifier. The module comes pre-configured with a number of different templates which you can assign to the screens of Merchant. For example, the "Basket Page" template can be assigned to the "BASK" screen to display the basket screen using that template.
NOTE REGARDING COMPATIBILITY: This module has the same compatibility issues with other modules as the original template modules. This module totally replaces the portion of the OpenUI (or MMUI if you are using it) that displays the pages it intercepts and is not compatible with any other module which needs to hook into that page unless the developer of that module has specifically made their module compatible. And given that this module is so new, very few modules are completely compatible with it. This module provides for an easy-to-use manner for developers to provide tokens that can be used to insert their module's HTML into the pages. And these tokens can be registered in the module's admin interface.
NOTE/WARNING: although there are a number of people successfully using this module, given the large number of tokens and attempts to handle many pages of Merchant you can expect bugs to arise and for the module to be missing functionality. I'll work diligently to fix them but please don't purchase this module if you can't accept the possibility of some issue with the module keeping you from accomplishing what you're after.
Similarly, given the current state of the documentation (there is no documentation on the available tokens but most of them are present in the pre-configured templates) if you're not familiar with the other template modules and the use of tokens in templates, you might want to wait until the documentation is completed.
Another note about compatibility: This module is compatible with the OpenUI right out of the box. However, for it to be compatible with the MMUI requires a minor modification to the MMUI file (ie. mmui.mv).

This eliminates duplicate orders and other storefront problems related to multiple clicks while the customer is waiting for the invoice to process, payment to verify/authorize, order fulfillment, etc. The final checkout button can also be customized independently of the other checkout/continue buttons with your own text/image button featured in the module configuration.
