Found 329 Modules or Applications that might fit the bill
Use caution when considering any modules from modStop. Their support has been reported by umpteen Miva Merchant users as suspect and worse. Some of their modules are simple and shouldn't require support. Please contact us with any questions concerning them or their modules.
The QuantityPlus! Shipping module allows you to configure robust quantity based shipping rules. You can configure multiple shipping "bins" or product classifications for each shipping method, and apply a shipping bin for each product by shipping method.
This module is useful if you have multiple products that all need to have the same "quantity" based rule applied, and standard quantity based shipping isn't quite right for you. For instance, if you ship books, the first book may cost $5 for domestic ground shipping, with each additional book (no matter what title or product ID) should cost $3 each. The standard "Quantity Shipping" module might not work right, since each book is a different product. Our QuantityPlus! module allows you to assign groups of products to the same quantity based shipping calculation such that all soft-back books are considered the same "product" for the quantity based shipping calculation.
Different shipping methods can be created for international and domestic customers. Only the shipping methods that apply based on the order ship-to address will appear on the order screen.
The QuantityPlus! Shipping Module comes with an excellent store level administrative interface that allows you to create shipping methods and bins, as well as product level administrative screen that allows you to assign each product a shipping bin for each shipping method.
Sort your shipping methods by cost, module name, or method name. Offer a free shipping option when any one of several parameters are met. Use the default layout within the existing user interface or a template with tokens which allows you to customize the method selection table. Select list or radio button group can be used to display the available methods. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
Features: <- Sort shipping methods in the order you want them - Template with tokens allows methods as select list or radio buttons - Country configurable template header - Default layout for those who do not have skills with HTML and tokens - Free shipping option based on order subtotal - Free shipping option based on number of products - Free shipping option based on weight of the order - Free shipping option can be limited to specific availability or price groups - Free shipping option can be limited to specific location - Free shipping option can be related to specific products - Label for free shipping is configurable - Configurable default message if no options are calculated - When only one option, list is replaced with a single line display - Can hide or display shipping methods by ship to country location - Can have a different configurable message on the order payment and invoice screens and the notification emails for each shipping method using tokens
Feature Details. Sort your shipping methods by cost, module name, or method name. This Miva Merchant module can be used in conjunction with shipping modules which dynamically calculate cost, such as the UPS modules or the various World, State, or ZIP Code Zone modules.
The free shipping option can be implemented when the subtotal of the order or the number of products in the order exceeds the thresholds you establish in admin. Or you can allow free shipping when the weight of the order is less than your specified threshold. You also have theoption to give free shipping to all members of one or more designated availability groups or price groups. You can further configure the free shipping option by limiting it to specific countries (USA can be all states or just the contiguous states). You can also remove the free shipping option if certain products are ordered. It also has free shipping override, ie if every product in the basket is in your list of free shipping codes, then shipping is free no matter what the other parameters are set to. You definewhat the free shipping label displays, e.g. Free Ground Shipping.
The module also provides a default message if there are no shipping methods which can be calculated. This message replaces the default message in Merchant. While you can leave it as Unable to calculate shipping methods, you can change that to be more customer friendly, e.g. We will contact you to adjust shipping costs or To be determined.
Easily use the default layout within the existing user interface or a template with tokens which allows you to customize the method selection table. With the template you can replace the select list with a radio button group. You can also add a Select One option in the select list layout. When only one shipping method exists with the order, the list of methods is replaced with a single line display and no selection is required. The method value is passed as a hidden input to the next screen. The template can have a header section which is configurable for every different country or group of countries.
You can hide or limit the shipping methods based on ship to country. Hence, you can designate certain shipping methods for domestic and others for international shipping. For US, you can even designate the continental US; excluding Alaska and Hawaii from the domestic shipping methods. No need to buy a separate module to hide certain shipping methods from international shipping.
Each method can have a different configurable message (text or html) which is displayed usingtokens. This message can be displayed on the order payment screen (the screen after shippingmethod is selected) and on the invoice screen. It can also be in the customer and merchant notification emails if they can implement module tokens in the format %module|sortship|html_message%. This eliminates the need to install a separate, custom module for checkout messages or rely on theshipping module to have the message capability (many do not have it).
The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. At this time we have not had a problem. Modules will be moved to the top of the queue as needed.
The Shipping SuperModTM provides a complete shipping method control system that allows you to limit what shipping options are available to your customers based on criteria such as shipping address or even what products are being purchased. It allows you to rename and reorder shipping methods in your store, and provides fall-back shipping methods that can be used when no other shipping methods are available– for instance, when online shipping calculators are down.
Key Benefits Include:
Control the text displayed for each shipping method
NEW! Can be used with any user interface module including MMUI
Filter shipping methods available to the customer based on:
Number of items in basket
Subtotal of basket
Day of week
Time Ranges
Availability Groups
Ship-To Country
Ship-To State
NEW! Zip Codes & Zip Prefixes
Weight Minimum/Maximum
Bill-To/Ship-To Match
Uses existing shipping modules
Allows storeowner to constrain shipping methods available for each product in the store. Customers can only checkout of the store when all products in the order have a common shipping method. *
Integrates and shares data with other checkout enhancements from Copernicus
* If you use the Shipping SuperMod and a customer tries to purchase products that cannot all be shipped with the same method, no shipping methods will be available to the customer at checkout because your shipping rules are mutually exclusive and Miva Merchant on its own does not allow multiple shipping calculations in the same order. You can solve this by adding the advanced functionality of the Copernicus CheckOut SuperMod to your store, OR, allow for a "least common denominator" shipping method that is always available for all products. To learn how to do this, go to the Shipping SuperMod FAQ on the Copernicus website.
Example Usage:
A storefront that sells cakes and jelly beans online has a shipping problem. When a customer purchases a cake, the cake needs to be delivered overnight so that the cake is fresh upon delivery. When a customer buys jelly beans – they can be shipped using regular ground shipping since the jelly beans won’t go stale for quite a long time. Since the storefront offers overnight air and regular ground shipping, many customers are choosing regular shipping for their cakes and are very upset when they receive a stale cake 5 days later. The Shipping SuperMod allows the storefront owner to limit the shipping choices given to the customer given what the customer places in his shopping basket. Using the Shipping SuperMod, the storeowner creates shipping constraints on each of the products in the store – thus allowing the cake to only be shipped via overnight air. He allows the jelly beans to be shipped via overnight air or regular ground shipping. If the customer only purchases jelly beans, the customer can have a choice of overnight or regular ground shipping. If the customer chooses just a cake, he is given only the choice of overnight shipping. If the customer has jelly beans and a cake in his shopping basket, his shipping choices are limited to “overnight air” (to guarantee the freshness of the cake) since “overnight” air was created by the storefront owner as the “least common denominator” shipping method (i.e. all products in the store have the option of overnight air as a shipping method.) The customer can checkout of the store since the order has a valid shipping option.

MMUI and OpenUI compatible. If using OpenUI, no editing of mv files is needed. However, if using MMUI, editing and re-compiling of the mmui.mv is required. Thus if using MMUI, you need to have the compiler license from Miva and the limited source code for mmui.mv. Hence, OpenUI highly recommended and probably required by most stores.
The CheckOut SuperMod allows your customers to determine the shipping method for each individual item in a single order and then the appropriate shipping and tax calculations are made to determine the total shipping amount for the entire order. Items in an order that are using the same shipping method are grouped to properly calculate the shipping price for the group of items. Now your customers can check out of your store with multiple shipping methods or shipping addresses* in the same order and the shipping is calculated properly.
Key Benefits Include:
Advanced Shipping Screen that gives customers the ability to select a different shipping method for every item in the order
When the Advanced Shipping Screen is used, the items in the order are internally grouped by shipping method so that items using the same shipping method are calculated and displayed together
Customer can choose to go to Advanced Shipping Screen to ship every item via a separate shipping method or can choose to not go to the Advanced Shipping Screen and instead ship everything in the order using the same shipping method
Configurable title for the link to the Advanced Shipping Screen from the payment/shipping selection checkout screen.
Shipping charges from the Advanced Shipping Screen can be viewed on further checkout screens including the Screen Invoice and emailed invoice
Return to shopping after having used the Advanced Shipping Screen and the settings are remembered for checkout and shopper is automatically taken to the Advanced Shipping Screen upon checkout
Ability to split line items of multiple-quantity products into individual line-items for different option selections including shipping and address* selections.
Works with existing third-party shipping modules
Integrates and shares data with the Shipping SuperMod and Address SuperMod from Copernicus giving you even more functionality!
When used with the Address SuperMod, each item in the order can be shipped to a different address. Upon checkout, items to common addresses using common shipping methods are grouped together, and proper shipping charges are applied to each shipment. Further, items are then grouped by address for proper tax calculations to each address in the order.
Extra functionality for users of the OpenUI SuperMod – Special Virtual Modules and tokens are provided for advanced control over checkout displays. Bonus Virtual Module provides the ability to “Split Line Items” in the basket (normally only appears on advanced shipping screen).
Note: Multiple address selections are only available when used with the Address SuperMod.
For complete control of the checkout process the Address SuperMod™, CheckOut SuperMod™, and Shipping SuperMod™ all work together. Each item in the basket can then be shipped to a different address using a different shipping method. Shipping methods available to each address can be filtered based upon the products in the basket, the destination, etc., and shipping and tax for each shipment is calculated individually.
Please Note - The CheckOut SuperMod significantly alters the checkout process of your store. The CheckOut SuperMod takes the checkout process beyond that allowed by Miva Merchant, which is why the module allows your customers to checkout of your storefront with multiple shipping methods and/or to multiple addresses (when used with the Address SuperMod) in a single order. Please be sure to test-drive this module on Miva Mia with any other third-party modules you have installed. To get a free distribution of the CheckOut SuperMod for use on Miva Mia, just fill out a Trial Request Form at http://www.copernicusllc.com/support/free/trial.
Display a brief summary of items currently in each customer's basket as they shop within a Miva Merchant store, provide a storefront display of the shipping charges, and list their recently visited product pages in your store with quick link and add button.
Features: (some features are only in the compiled version - see details below)
- Summarize basket contents on most Merchant screens
- List product name or code, quantity, and price
- Use image to alert new additions made to basket
- Display a checkout link when order minimum is reached
- Use store's assigned shipping modules to preview shipping options and charges
- List recently visited product pages with easy add to basket button
- Optionally use OpenUI token to place the mini-basket in many places on the screen
- Optionally use token to place visit history outside of the mini-basket
- Owner can monitor live activity of customers visiting product pages through admin
- Customize mini-basket look in admin (color, size, headings)
- Built-in link to view main basket
- Optionally hide mini-basket if no products are in it
- Licensed per domain
- OpenUI or MMUI compatible (OpenUI recommended in compiled Merchant)
The Mini-basket "view" is configured in the admin interface. The title of the Mini-basket, column headings, font size and color are configurable. You also have the option of a checkout link appearing in the Mini-basket when a specific order subtotal has been reached, thus allowing for minimum orders if you have disabled the checkout button in the standard Merchant nav bar. You can also allow customers to preview shipping options and costs with a single click if they enter ship to location info. Customers do not need to be logged in to view the shipping options. The Mini-basket title, checkout
button, and shipping option link can be displayed with either text or image. The basket title is linked to the full basket contents
display and the checkout is linked to the checkout screens. The shipping option
link runs the installed shipping modules to display the available methods.
In the compiled version of Merchant we have included
footsteps of customers' recent travels to the product pages in the store. The display remains closed unless the customer clicks the link for the recent visits, thus not taking too much space. When displayed, an Add to basket button can be included so the customer can easily add products which they had visited earlier and now they want
to add them without having to search or drill down though the categories. This reminder of pages visited lessens the chance of forgetting something before the customer checks out. The convenient links allows the customer to quickly go back and take a look at the products again. The
recent visit history will remain available for the length the store owner has set for basket timeout. Additionally, for your customers who login, you can have the history availability
extended for any number of additional hours, as they are more likely to return and make a purchase. The recent visit history can be included within the mini-basket table or outside of it. If you want to place the visit history outside of the mini-basket, you can use tokens in the header and footers of screens if you are using the OpenUI. We
have included a "view" feature in admin that allows the store owner to monitor live activity in the store. All recent product page visits are listed the admin screen. Customers not using cookies or whose browser is creating a different session ID with each page click will not be able to display their recent history, however the store owner will still be able to see the pages currently being visited.
In the compiled version are new admin configuration options, e.g. border
color and text to display when the basket is empty. If you are using one of the sort shipping modules like our Shipping List or our Sort Shipping Plus Free Shipping Option or the Shipping SuperMod from Copernicus, you can configure the Mini-basket module to use the sort
order of those modules. You can configure the product
data column to display the full product name, or code, or a portion of the product name (20, 30, or 40 characters). In addition to the several locations available using OpenUI
hook points, you can use OpenUI tokens to place the display within headers and footers of the Miva Merchant screens. You can also make the mini-basket invisible until at least one item is added to the basket. You can also include an image in the mini-basket immediately after addition of a product to the basket. Many times customers don't realize
a product was added so they click the Add to Basket button again. By displaying a noticeable, e.g. animated, image in the mini-basket, their attention is drawn to the basket and they clearly see the addition was made.
License is for ONE mall. Within that single mall, the module can be used in multiple stores without additional license. It functions within both the Miva Merchant (mmui.mv) and OpenUI (oui.mv) look and feel modules, appearing at either the top or bottom of the category column. If using the mmui.mv, you will add one line to the mmui.mv file. Note that if your Merchant version is 4.14 or newer, you'll need to edit and recompile the mmui.mv to mmui.mvc (compiler license from Miva Corp required). Hence, OpenUI is highly recommended if you are using Merchant 4.14 or newer. If using the OpenUI, the hook is automatically set when you install the module. There are several hook point screen locations available, of which one can be selected in the module's admin screen.

This tutorial subscription is different than all other Miva Merchant training methods because it is constantly updated, there are OpenUI and MMUI tutorials, as well as extensive tutorials on most popular third party modules, including offline products like Storeman. With the cooperation of third party developers, when a module is updated, or a new module is released, Merchant How To will create a new tutorial.
And more as it is released. Click the link to see examples of tutorials.
NOTES: Please allow up to 24 hours for activation. Tutorial Flash files can be large, so it is recommended that you have a broadband Internet connection to enjoy the tutorials. This tutorial subscription is new, so not all tutorials listed at MerchantHowTo.com are immediately available. Also, since this subscription is essentially electronic distribution of knowledge, and since there are several examples and a list of tutorials available prior to purchase, no refunds can be granted on these tutorials.
The ultimate Miva Merchant autoresponder module - send specialized emails at the completion of the order. These emails are in addition to or in place of the standard emails which are sent at order completion, e.g. merchant notification, customer confirmation, vendor specific notification, and even cell phone emails. It also can send welcome emails when a new customer account is created. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
Features: - Autoresponder - specialized emails at the completion of the order - Merchant notification and customer confirmation - Vendor and product specific templates - Can limit sending based on a specific attribute/option code for a product - Include coupons or promo codes when specific products ordered - Optionally require an input to allow the email, e.g. a response from Addendum - Easy to use checkbox configuration of vertical or horizontal layout emails - Highly configurable free form template layout emails with embedded tokens - HTML or text email formatting - Archive flat file is created for each template, easily track sales activity - Mail Manager Report module can display the flat file contents by time period or product - Ship to, bill to and other email addresses for each template - Send emails to your company's internal departments, e.g. shipping - Emails to web enabled cell phones as abbreviated messages - Open architecture so that other events can also trigger an automated response - Can resend emails when the customer knows and enters their order number and email address - Use render token to send an email from any pagein the store - Send a welcome email before the order completes and optionally include a promo code, customer login and password - Include 3rd party data with module tokens, e.g. Addendum responses - Display shipping and payment invoice messages - Create packing slip and label emails - Ship to country address formatted according to the applicable country's postal recommendations - Restrict email to a specified order dollar value range, reward big spending customers with a coupon - Restrict email to a specified list of countries, thus allowing for language specific emails
Feature Details. In admin, you create one or more template emails. Eachtemplate can be different, i.e. what it displays, how the data is oriented on the screen/paper, and what product(s) triggers the autoresponder. Most responses are triggered by the product codes purchased. Some example uses:
Email to any of your drop-ship manufacturers listing the Ship To address and the products to be shipped if using real time creditcard authorization. The module will sort out which drop shippergets which emails, including listing the products to be shipped. Unlike some other vendors' drop ship notification modules, this one only includesthe products belonging to the associated drop shipper. Thus a drop shipper doesnot see the products being supplied to the customer by other drop shippers when the order contains multiple product sources. Youcan still use the module if you are not using real time authorization, but you would send the email to your pending mailbox until manual processingverified the charge, then forward to the drop shipper. This would savehand entering the order. In addition to the email, an archive flatfile is created which you can use to easily track sales activity related to each of your drop-ship manufacturers.
Email to Ship To or Bill To or both thanking them for a donation to your sponsored charity on your site.
Email to your shipping department listing Ship To addressand products ordered if using real time credit card authorization. Products section can be cut/folded to result in a shipping label with your company address included. If notusing real time authorization, use the pending mailbox technique similarto the drop shipper scenario above.
Email a promo coupon code if a customer purchases a specificproduct or from a list of products
Email service, warranty, shipping and contact information on specific products or product lines
Send an email to your cell phone's inbox when orders are placed in your store (requires a cell phone plan that assigns an email address to your phone).
You own a mall with multiple stores within the mall. Thosestore owners rent the stores from you for a percentage of their gross. Use mail manager as an audit tool to track theirsales. In addition to the autoresponse email, mail manager produces a flat file with order ID, date, product name, product code, quantity, price for each, and price extended. Periodically retrieve that flat file and import into a spreadsheetfor easy analysis.
The included Mail Manager Report module can display the contents of that flat file through admin. It can filter the report by specific timeperiods (daily, weekly, monthly) within reason. The limits of your PC or server may prevent very lengthy reports for excessively long time periods. It can also limit the report to only one product code. Since the templates canbe designed for each vendor, you can create individual vendor flat files with a corresponding report for each vendor.
Literally, you can have a different autoresponder for everyproduct in your store.
However, Mail Manager has a somewhat open architecture sothat other events can also trigger an automated response. For example:
Send a welcome email before the order completes, but afterthe customer completes the registration process (for those thatcreate an account)
Send a thank you for rating a product (using our Rate This system)along with a coupon code for taking the time to do so
You can use the ifvar script or var token in these "other event" emails. For example, generate a unique coupon code with a module token and insert it in the welcome email to give the new customer an incentive to buy now.
Use a render token to send an email from any page in the store. For example, put it on the product page to send a specific email when a specific product's page is viewed by a customer who is logged in. The email goes to their password recovery address (but could be bill to or ship to address). If you want it sent to a hard coded address, e.g. yours to monitor traffic, you would put your email address in the 3rd parameter of the token. The uses of this feature are endless. Send a coupon to entice customers to buy when they visit specific product screens. Tell them about other products related to the one they just viewed.
As you can see, the uses of this Mail Manager are quite diverse. Some of the variable features configured through admin for each template are:
Show or hide any of the data elements
Orient your email either horizontally or vertically
There is also a free form template using an extensive list of tokens and mini-scripts to customize the emails that are sent at the time of order completion. They can vary from mimics of the standard merchant notification and customer confirmation emails to brief order notifications for better acceptance within cell phone emails. The emails can be plain text or HTML formattedemails for better readability. You can change the fonts, colors, layout and even add images to your confirmation and notificationemails. If your shipping and payment modules are configured withinvoice notices, these can be included in the emails with a token. You can include data from other 3rd party modules, like Addendum, by using tokens. You can also create packing slip and label emails with the "ship to" country address formatted according to the applicable country's postal recommendations when using the HTML template. In the free form template you canalso set the time so that it can be offset from the server time, thus display for a different time zone in each of your emails.
Customize your email and store's physical address
Designate email recipient, i.e. Ship To and/or Bill To and/or fixed email address
List full or partial Ship To and/or Bill To address
Restrict email to a specified order dollar value range, reward big spending customers with a coupon for their next visit
Restrict email to a specified list of countries, thus allowing for language specific emails
Resend order emails if the customer knows and enters the order number and email which match the actual order. The form for these two data elements can be placed anywhere you can edit the store user interface, e.g. headers, footers, welcome screen.
You can specify the product code and an attribute/option value that must also be met before the email will be sent. This is particularly useful when the emails are used for vendor notification. A certain product might bedrop shipped by two different vendors and the only difference is the selected attribute/option value.
Insert a "require" token that has to be met before the email will be allowed. As example, have a checkbox using Addendum to ask a customer if they want to be added to a list server (mailing list). Then if they check the box, the "yes" response is sent to Mail Manager. The Mail Manager can then generate a specifically formatted email to activate an email address at your list server, if you have one.
Write a different body for each of the email templates you add
List products and prices or just the products without prices
Link the email usage to one or more product codes or entire inventory with wildcard
No need to go to each product to link the email, a copy and paste froma flat text file will add hundreds instantly
I'd be surprised if you find that this capability exists anywhere in any mid-priced shopping cart system. Autoresponders that fill in the blanks are one thing, but this is a store owner, pre-planned autoresponse for a specific product. Within your store, you could have dozens of different responses (individual or grouped) or a wildcard response for all of the products. You can use itto make connections not directly related to sales, yetlinked to a specific sale.
Customer buys a kayak from your store. Tell them about the kayak camp 20 miles from your store and give them the 800number of the guy with the info about a big get together next month.
Customer buys an orchid from you which would lead you to believe he/she may have a specific variety you have been looking for. You autorespond with your want list for your nursery inhopes of finding the needle in a haystack.
As you can see, this list could be endless. Targetted, intelligent autoresponders are designed to increase your store'sbusiness and decrease the amount of time employees spend on sendingout product specific, emails.
The pre-formed templates are easy to configure and do not require programming experience. For the more experienced, you also have the option of using tokens and mini-scripts in free form templates. An example free form template is included with the install documents.
Volume pricing at the category level. Easily offer a discount based on the number of items inthe basket and the categories those items are in. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
Features: - Discount based on number of items ordered - Set up to 4 tiers of discounts per category group - Can have 8 groups (each containing one or more categories), each with 4 different discount tiers - Category wide, multi-category or store wide discounts - Optionally apply discount after other discounts have lowered the subtotal - Discount shows at checkout as separate line item - Optionally display updated discount in basket prior to checkout using render token - Can use wildcard instead of entering category codes for the group - Can exclude a single price group, e.g. Wholesale, from receiving the discount
Feature Details: Thedefault is to calculate product charges in the specifiedcategory(ies) (including attribute charges) to determinethe subtotal to discount. You canoptionally include non-product charges in the calculation.
In admin, the store owner configures the triggerlevels (number of items needed to activate the discount) and thecorresponding percentage off. The store owner candesignate 1 - 4 trigger levels so that he/she can vary thepercentage discount based on the number bought. Reward thecustomer; the more the customer buys, the higher thediscount percentage.
The storeowner then includes a list of category codes that willbe used in the calculation. Use this module forcategory-wide or store-wide discounts.
The discount amount willappear during checkout on the screen after the customer hasentered their shipping method. This allows Merchant toinclude (optionally) any miscellaneous fees or coupons redeemedon the Shipping - Payment selection screen so the subtotal willbe adjusted before the discount.
In admin you can setup eight separate groups withtheir own four-tiered discount and categories. Hence, if you want to discountone category of products with one set of rules (levels) and another categorywith a different set of rules, you can do this. Multiple categories can beassigned to each group. As the basket is scanned, the quantities are subtotaledfor each group. The discount is applied based on each group's rules, then summedtogether at checkout. You can optionally display the updated discounts prior to checkout in the regular basket screen, recalculatingand updating discounts based on changing basket contents.
In admin, you can chooseone price group, e.g. Wholesale, which is not eligible for the discount since theypresumably already benefit from significantly lower prices.
You can use the asterisk(*) to replace the category codes. When the module encounters the asterisk instead ofcategory codes, it considers all further products eligible. As example, the asterisk inthe first group would make all products in the store eligible for the discount. On the other hand, category codes in the first group would apply the first group rules to those categories. Then if there is an asterisk in the second group, all other products in the store woulduse those discount rules.
Coupon Manager allows you to offer customers various types of coupons which can be redeemed by entering a coupon code during checkout. It features full display options and extensive coupon options which can handle most any type of coupons you wish to offer, such as $20 off any order $100 or over, 15% of any order, buy 4 widgets get $2 off each widget, 20% off your entire order if you order 2 or more of widgets x, y, or z, 10% off orders for the next 10 shoppers that use this coupon - offer not valid with other coupons, spend $20 or more on widgets x, y, and z, and receive free standard shipping plus 10% off your order, limit one/customer, and more!
Coupons may be configured to only be redeemed when used by themselves or redeemable in conjunction with other coupons with an optional maximum total coupons that may be used. Coupons may optionally reduce sales tax depending on your state laws and the type of coupon being used. Coupon Manager's searchable console lets you view the number of times coupons have been redeemed at any time, as well as edit/remove coupons, and can also keep a log of all coupons used which can be imported into database/spreadsheet software.
Features include:
configurable image/button text for redeem coupon button
configurable header and footer for coupon prompt
optional coupon log
coupon expiration date
fixed or percentage discount amounts
extensive coupon options such as taxable, redeemable in conjunction with other coupons (with an optional max coupon cap), one per customer, maximum uses, and a minimum required subtotal
free shipping coupons, with or without an additional discount
configurable qualifying products, including wild card support for product codes beginning with specific characters
qualifying products lists may be set as included or excluded (excluded lists are useful for quickly marking all products except one, or a few, as qualifying)
advanced additional product specific options including minimum quantity, minimum subtotal, whether to calculate the discount based on the quantity ordered (only for fixed amounts), including an optional max quantity cap, and whether to base the discount on the entire subtotal (only for percentage amounts)
option to limit coupons to qualifying zip codes
notes field
searchable console for easy viewing, editing, and deleting of coupons
delete all expired coupons option
Note: This module requires ver. 3.9x or higher of the Miva engine.
Volume pricing at the category level. Easily offer a fixed discount (not percentage) based on the number of items in the basket and the categories those items are in. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
Features: - Discount based on number of items ordered - Set up to 4 tiers of discounts per category group - Can have 8 groups (each containing one or more categories), each with 4 different discount tiers - Category wide, multi-category or store wide discounts - Optionally apply discount after other discounts have lowered the subtotal - Discount shows at checkout as separate line item - Optionally display updated discount in basket prior to checkout - Can use wildcard instead of entering category codes for the group - Can either include or exclude a single price group, e.g. Wholesale, to be able to use the discount
Feature Details: In admin, the store owner configures the trigger levels (number of items needed to activate the discount) and thecorresponding fixed amount off. The store owner can designate 1 - 4 trigger levels so that he/she can vary thediscount based on the number bought. Reward the customer; the more the customer buys, the higher the discount.
The storeowner then includes a list of category codes that willbe used in the calculation. Use this module for category-wide or store-wide fixed discounts. If using store-wide, make sure the discount doesn't exceed the priceof the potentially summed products. If using category-wide,make sure the discount does not exceed the price of the lowestpriced product in the category.
The discount amount will appear during checkout on the screen after the customer has entered their shipping method. You can optionally display the discount in the basket prior to checkout.
In admin you can setup eight separate groups withtheir own four-tiered discount and categories. Hence, if you want to discountone category of products with one set of rules (levels) and another category with a different set of rules, you can now do this. Multiple categories can be assigned to each group. As the basket is scanned, the discount is applied based on each group's rules, then summed together at checkout. You can optionally display the updated discounts prior to checkout in the regular basket screen, recalculating and updating discounts based on changing basket contents.
You can choose one price group, e.g. Wholesale, which is not eligible for the discount since they presumably already benefit from significantly lower prices. Or if you don't want to exclude, you can include the one group. This would be useful if you want to apply a fixed amount off for that price group rather than use Merchant's percent off price group calculations. This would allow you to discount different fixed amounts from different groupings (categories) of products.
You can use the asterisk (*) to replace the category codes. When the module encounters the asterisk instead of category codes, it considers all further products eligible. As example, the asterisk in the first group would make all products in the store eligible for the discount. On the other hand, category codes in the first group would apply the first group rules to those categories. Then if there is an asterisk in the second group, all other products in the store woulduse those discount rules.

Communication of order status with your customers is a critical element in the overall success of your store. Provide order status change emails to customers, keep track of order changes with backend administrative notes, and provide customers with an easy login view of their order status and invoice. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
Features: - Order status updated in admin including tracking numbers and admin notes - Bulk update several orders' status with a single click - Status change emails with tracking links can optionally be sent to customers - Unlimited number of templates for the status change emails - Quick inventory adjustment when orders are cancelled - End of day (EOD) productivity report for all dates, a range of dates, or specific date - EOD display all records or just the records with a specific status - EOD contains links to the order edit screen for easy viewing of an individual order - EOD display of products sold summary reports - Run a Stock Level Report (SLR) to determine which items are nearing depletion - Editable interface to change the inventory levels of all/any products in the SLR - Export the SLR for mass editing/importing or to interface with your office backend - Annotate progress updates from multiple departments within the order record - Progress is visibile to other admin entities within your store at all times - Customers can view their order status history including tracking links and product lists - Order status history can use default or store built template - Customers can view their invoice within current orders from the order status history or the link in the confirmation email - Customers can view their order status and shipping tracking by entering their order number and email - Customers can have one click re-order from invoices in the current orders - Auto-assign customer membership to price groups based on their order total history
Feature Details. Provide order status change emails to customers, keep track of order changes with backend administrative notes, and provide customers with an easy login view of their order status and invoice. Easily manage customer communication with this module and the related modules below.
The membership system allows you to automatically include customers into price groups when they log into your store and is based on their prior purchase history. You set up your price groups as you would any price groups and assign the applicable products to those groups. Then you specify a trigger level required for the customer to be a member of each group. You can insert tokens into the applicable screens, e.g. customer edit, welcome back returning and new customers. Then when they log in, the token runs the order history for the status codes you specify (e.g. F for filled), sums the totals, and checks to see if they meet a membership level. If they do, they are inserted into the highest qualified price group.
In addition to enhanced communication with your customers, you may want to manage product levels associated with orders and cancelled orders. Miva Merchant allows you to track stock levels of your products online. As products are placed in the basket, the level is decremented. If the order is not completed, the products are returned to the shelf when you delete expired baskets. If the order is cancelled, the products are not automatically returned to stock in the core Miva Merchant. The customer and product management modules interface with the built in internal inventory management (IM) system to improve the overall IM usability.
In the administrative interface:
Shipping tracking numbers, entered through admin, display in the customer account and the status update email (can be linked directly to the shipper tracking page)
Change the order status and optionally send the customer an order status email which can vary based on the style of the status email chosen. Email styles are created using templates with tokens for insertion of specific variables. Can update several orders at once with the bulk status update feature.
Run an end of day-productivity report for all dates, a range of dates, or a specific date displaying all records or just the records with a specific status. A convenient link to the order edit screen makes viewing an individual order quick and easy.
Re-establish inventory levels for a product when an order has been cancelled (auto-restock) or new quantities are put in your inventory.
Run a Stock Level Report to determine which items are nearing depletion or all products being managed for inventory. The module admin console includes an easily editable interface to change the inventory levels of all/any products in the report.
Export a flat file of product codes, quantity, and product name for easy mass editing/importing or to interface with your office backend systems or for re-import into Merchant itself.
Additional order related data can be added in the admin screen; employee code making the status change, date of the change, narrative notes about the order, numeric value (e.g. for adjustments). Multiple admin updates can be made to each order's record by any department within your store (packing, shipping, accounting, returns, etc).
From the customer account record:
Customers can view the status of all of their orders, including update information (e.g. tracking numbers) which is entered by the store owner through admin. The order status history display can be modified by the store owner with a template and tokens. You can even include hot links to carriers' tracking systems with the number filled in. You'll need to enter your carrier tracking URLs into the module's admin configuration screen. The number of carrier URLs you include in admin is not limited.
Customers can view their previous invoices as long as they are in online batches or still in the unbatched orders.
Even after orders and batches are deleted (you may delete processed orders to save disk space) the customer can still review the basic products listed in their order along with the shipping and payment info.
Customers can re-order/duplicate a previous order with a single click from the invoice (order details page) which are still in online batches (i.e. not deleted) or as yet unbatched orders.
Be sure to take a look at our other related modules which can enhance store - customer - vendor communication even further. They include:
Contact Manager - provide a support interface without needlessly including your email on your store's pages for spam harvesters to capture
Event Reminder - customers and store admin can schedule reminders to themselves or others for specific events/tasks at specific times
Follow-on Contact - generate after sales communication at pre-determined points of time in the future
Mail Manager - generate template emails (with tokens) as HTML or text as an auto-response, e.g. as customer order confirmation or even welcome emails

Calculate shipping charges without having to access the checkout pages. Customers can preview shipping options and costs with a single click if they enter ship to info.
This miva merchant module license is for ONE mall. Within that single mall, it can be used in multiple stores without additional license. It functions within both the Miva Merchant (mmui.mvc) and OpenUI (oui.mvc) look and feel modules, appearing at either the top or bottom of the category column. You can also use this module to place the shipping calculator on the product and category template pages or at OpenUI Tokens locations. If using the mmui.mvc, you will add one line to the source code mmui.mv file, then re-compile it. That requires license for the source code kit and the mivascript compiler. If using the oui.mvc, the hook is automatically set when you install the module and there is no need to edit the mmui.mv.
The Shipping Calculator "view" is configured in the admin interface. Font size and color, along with prompt text, are configurable. If you are using one of the sort shipping modules like our Shipping List or our Sort Shipping Plus Free Shipping Option, you can configure the module to use the sort order of those modules. This module is compatible with most shipping modules.
Specifically designed to integrate with the Merchant admin screens, this Shipping and Handling module permits the merchant to set a separate shipping rate (based on quantity) for each product. At the time of checkout, the module goes through the basket and looks up the shipping rate for each individual product. It adds up the rate for each item to determine the shipping charge for that order.
Any number of separate methods may be set up (eg. UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.) and each method may have it's own rates assigned to the products. A default shipping rate may be set in the modules admin for each method. The default applies to all products that are not specifically configured w/ their own shipping rate. In addition, each method may be assigned to domestic addresses, foreign addresses, or both. Methods that don't apply to a particular customer won't be available as an option. The "domestic" country used to determine the destination is configurable in the module.
This product is functionally equivalent to the Shipping w/Multiple Methods module which uses a more basic admin interface.
A shipping module which calculates shipping depending on the quantity ordered and where the quantity falls in a range of quantities. Permits up to 9 ranges of quantities to be set (eg. 0 to 50, 50 to 100, etc.) and a different shipping charge can be set for each range.
Set minimum and maximum quantity order rules. You can establish a required minimum number of each product that must be ordered. You can also establish a maximum number of each product that can be in a single order. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
The admin control panel permits the store owner to specify all products (as a wildcard) in a store to have the same quantity rules or apply individual and different quantity rules for each product code which will be restrained by order quantities. For ease of use, the individual product ranges are entered in a single admin input box rather than from tabs at the individual edit screens. This allows the store owner to build the quantity rules in a word processorand simply copy and paste hundreds of codes into the input box quickly.
When the customer selects an out-of-rangeamount, the quantity is adjusted to fall within the permissable range and a non-fatal message is displayed telling the customer that the quantity was adjusted. The store owner can configure the text in the out-of-range message box or leave the box out of the store altogether by deleting the override message text in admin.
You can change the quantity input into a drop down select list with multiple values. For example, setting the multiple to 2 will result in a select list of 2, 4, 6, 8, etc upto the maximum. You can also make a non-equal interval, e.g. 1, 3, 7, 10. The module uses the built in render token system to place the select list on the product and basket screens.

The number table shipping module by world zone allows you to specify different shipping charges based on the method of shipping AND the number of items AND the country the item is being shipped to. The module evaluates the "ship to" country and only displays those methods and charges applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting lower shipping charges which may not be available for them.
The number of items are setup by range groups, ie. from quantity X to quantity Y, the charge is Z. Multiple range groups can be established for each method of shipment and each world zone. A world zone can include one or more countries. As a wildcard, you can charge shipping to all countries not already placed in a zone rather than placing every country in one of the zones.
You can exclude specific product codes from the calculation of the number of items. If you do this, you should have a range of 0 to 0 so that if the customer only orders exempted products, Merchant will still be able to display a valid shipping option, e.g. Free.
The number table shipping module by ZIP code zone allows you to specify different shipping charges based on the method of shipping AND the number of items AND the ZIP code the item is being shipped to. The module evaluates the "ship to" ZIP code and only displays those methods and charges applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting lower shipping charges which may not be available for them.

This is NOT a module, but rather a service; a custom integration into your store of an interface to access the UPS Rates & Service Selection so that your customers can enjoy the pleasures of real-time UPS shipping rate calculation. The integration requires that you register as an end-user and obtain an access key (easily done). We will then integrate the tools into your site using your UPS user id and access key. Send an email to brok@vikingcoders.com for more information on the procedure.
The features offered by the interface are almost identical to those of the Original UPS Advanced module. Unlike the current version of that module, this interface handles international shipping, surcharges for rural areas, and even shipping FROM international addresses (but then I guess it wouldn't be "international" to you).
The interface offers options such as such as calculation of "oversize" and "dimensional" weights (you can specify the dimensions of the package), declared value insurance, and hazmat. In addition, it lets you configure products to be shipping independently in their own box (or multiple quantity per box) and from their own zip code. Individual products can be flagged to have free shipping, products being shipping in their own box can be specified to have free shipping on a per-method basis (eg. free UPS ground for product x), and individual methods can be configured to be free (eg. free UPS ground). You also have the option of configuring the module on a "category" level so that all products within that category will ship using the option set for the category.
Individual methods can be discounted (eg. UPS Ground 25% off). Individual methods can also have specific handling charges assigned to them. The merchant can specify the maximum weight to put into individual shipping boxes as well as specify a weight for the shipping package itself. The module uses a sophisticated algorithm to pack the boxes to the maximum weight while maintaining the lowest number of boxes. The methods seen by the customer in the drop down shipping selection list can be sorted either ascending or descending (or not at all).
The ultimate Miva Merchant autoresponder module - send specialized emails at the completion of the order. These emails are in addition to or in place of the standard emails which are sent at order completion, e.g. merchant notification, customer confirmation and even vendor specific notification.

In admin, you create one or more template emails. Each
template can be different, i.e. what it displays, how the
data is oriented on the screen/paper, and what product(s)
triggers the autoresponder. Most responses are triggered
by the product codes purchased. Some example uses:
Email to any of your
drop-ship manufacturers listing the Ship To
address and the products to be shipped if using real time credit
card authorization. The module will sort out which drop shipper gets which emails, including listing the products to be shipped. You can still use the module if you are not using real time authorization, but you would send the email to your pending mailbox until manual processing verified the charge, then forward to the drop shipper. This would save hand entering the order. In addition to the email, an archive flat file is created which you can use to easily track sales activity related to each of your drop-ship manufacturers.
Email to Ship To or Bill To or both thanking them for
a
donation to your sponsored charity on your site.
Email to
your shipping department listing Ship To address
and products ordered if using real time credit card
authorization. Products section can be torn/folded to
result in a shipping label with your company address included. If not using real time authorization, use the pending mailbox technique similar to the drop shipper scenario above.
Email a
promo coupon code if a customer purchases a specific
product or from a list of products
Email service, warranty, shipping and contact information on
specific products or
product lines
Send an email to your cell phone's text messaging
when orders are placed in your store (requires a cell phone
plan that assigns an email address to your phone)
You own a mall with multiple stores within the mall. Those
store owners rent the stores from you for a percentage of
their gross. Use mail manager as an audit tool to track their
sales. In addition to the autoresponse email, mail manager
produces a flat file with order ID, date, product name,
product code, quantity, price for each, and price extended.
Periodically retrieve that flat file and import into a spreadsheet
for easy analysis.
With compiled Merchant, the included Mail Manager Report
module can display the contents of that flat file
through admin. It can filter the report by specific time
periods (daily, weekly, monthly) within reason. The limits
of your PC or server may prevent very lengthy reports for
excessively long time periods. It can also limit the
report to only one product code. Since the templates can
be designed for each vendor, you can create individual
vendor flat files with a corresponding report for each
vendor.
Literally, you can have a different autoresponder for every
product in your store.
However, Mail Manager has a somewhat open architecture so that other events can also trigger an automated response. For example:
Send a
welcome email before the order completes, but after
the customer completes the registration process (for those that
create an account)
Send a thank you for
rating a product (using our Rate This system)
along with a coupon code for taking the time to do so
Essentially any event in the mmui, oui or even another third party module can trigger an email which you write for the
particular event
You can use the
ifvar script or var token in these "other event" emails. For example, generate a unique
coupon code with a module token and insert it in the welcome email to give the new customer an incentive to buy now. If you don't have an account with us yet, sign up and you'll see how it works.
As you can see, the uses of this Mail Manager are quite
diverse. Some of the variable features configured through
admin for each template are:
In the compiled version is a free form template using an
extensive list of
tokens and mini-scripts to customize the emails that
are sent at the time of order completion. They can vary
from mimics of the standard
merchant notification and customer confirmation emails to brief order notifications for better acceptance within cell
phone emails. The emails can be plain text or HTML formatted emails for better readability. You can change the fonts, colors, layout and even add images to your confirmation and notification emails. You can include data from other 3rd party modules, like Addendum, by using tokens. You can also create label emails with the "ship to" country address formatted according to the applicable country's postal recommendations when using the HTML template.
Write a different body for each of the email templates you add
Link to one or more product codes or entire inventory with wildcard
No need to go to each product to link the email, a copy and paste from a flat text file will add hundreds instantly
I'd be surprised if you find that this capability
exists anywhere in any mid-priced shopping cart system.
Autoresponders that fill in the blanks are one thing, but
this is a store owner, pre-planned autoresponse for a
specific product. Within your store, you could have dozens
of different responses (individual or grouped) or a
wildcard response for all of the products. You can use it
to make connections not directly related to sales, yet
linked to a specific sale.
Customer buys a kayak from your store. Tell them about
the kayak camp 20 miles from your store and give them the 800 number of the guy with the info about a big get together next month.
Customer buys an orchid from you which would lead you to believe he/she may have a specific variety you have been looking for. You autorespond with your want list for your nursery in hopes of finding the needle in a haystack.
As you can see, this list could be endless. Targetted,
intelligent autoresponders are designed to increase your store's
business and decrease the amount of time employees spend on sending out product specific, followup emails.
MMUI and OpenUI compatible. No editing of the mmui.mv is needed and no OpenUI hook points are used. Thus, module conflict does not occur. The pre-formed templates are easy to configure and do not require programming experience. In the compiled version of Merchant (4.14 and newer), you
also have the option of using tokens and mini-scripts in free form templates. An example free form template is included with the install documents.
