| >Features: - Sort payment methods in the order you want them - Template with tokens to layout methods as select list or radio button group - Default layout for those who do not have skills with HTML and tokens - Restrict methods by price group - Restrict methods by ship to or bill to country - Restrict methods by subtotal range of the order - Restrict methods based on categories of products that are in the basket - Can have a different configurable message on the order payment and invoice screens. - Can have a configurable message in the notification emails for each payment method using tokens if the email module is compatible with tokens using the syntax %module|payment|html_message% |
In addition to the ability to sort the methods, you can restrict any of the methods to specific price group(s). Each method can have its own list of acceptable or unacceptable price groups. The default displays the methods without regard to price groups.
You can restrict the payment methods to specific countries. You decide whether you will tie it to the ship to or bill to address. Then you can create a list of acceptable or unacceptable countries. The default displays the methods without regard to countries.
You can further restrict payment methods to a specific subtotal range of products. For example, if you did not want to accept checks for product subtotal over $50, you would setup the range for check payments as 0.00 to 50.00. The default displays the methods without regard to order subtotal.
You can also restrict payment methods based on categories of products that are in the basket. Thus, if you have certain categories of products that you do not want to allow a specific payment method, you would enter the category codes into the input. If any of those categories of products were in the basket, the method would be hidden.
Each method can have a different configurable message (text or html) which is displayed using render tokens. This message can be displayed on the order payment screen (the screen after payment method is selected) and on the invoice screen. It can also be in the customer and merchant notification emails if they can implement module tokens in the format %module|paygroup|html_message%. This eliminates the need to install a separate, custom module for checkout messages or rely on the payment module to have the message capability (many do not have it).
The store owner can use the default select list layout or use a template for the layout of the payment options. The template can use either select inputs or radio inputs.
The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. This would be the case in most of the server setups. For those that are not, we are in the process of converting the code for that remaining, very small group of MIVA Merchant stores. At this time we have not had a problem. Modules will be moved to the top of the queue as needed.

- Sort payment methods in the order you want them
- Template with tokens to layout methods as select list or radio button group
- Default layout for those who do not have skills with HTML and tokens
- Restrict methods by price group
- Restrict methods by ship to or bill to country
- Restrict methods by subtotal range of the order
Feature Details.
This Miva Merchant module's admin screen auto-lists payment methods which are assigned as payment modules for use by the store. In the case of a payment module which
configures payment methods at runtime, e.g. available based on login or assigned availability/price group, the store owner can manually add that method to the ordered list.
For example, if you did not want to accept checks for product subtotal over $50, you would setup the range for check payments as 0.00 to 50.00.The default displays the methods without regard to order subtotal.
The store owner can use the default select list layout or use a template for the layout of the payment options. The template can use either select inputs or radio inputs.
The module can use OpenTokens instead of hook points within OpenObjects. The OpenDesigner screen lists the OpenObjects which can replace all or some screens within the OpenUI user interface. The OpenObjects provide a template screen which contains the existing hook points (backward compatibility), OpenToken capability, and the ability to move output around within the OpenObject screen.

The purpose of this module is to allow customers to place an order at a Miva Merchant™ Storefront Development System © Miva Corp which they will then pay for using their PayPal © x.com account. This payment module is licensed per domain. No additional store licenses are required if used within the same mall. The current version works with Merchant 2.x, 3.x and 4.x.
If your PayPal account is either a "Business" or "Premier" PayPal account, this module guides the customer to the PayPal payment screens so that they do not get to the invoice screen without properly entering pay data. When the customer clicks the Pay button at the PayPal site, you can have the PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) send a silent update back to your payment history file which can be viewed in your Merchant admin:order edit screen. Unlike some other modules, if the customer does not return to Merchant, his order will still be processed and email notifications sent. When returning to your store, the invoice page will be displayed. You can also add additional instructions to inform customers what to expect at the PayPal site through the admin interface. If you are using Addendum in your store, you will need to use Addendum version 3.08 or newer when using the PayPal module. If your PayPal account is a "Personal" account, the flow for payment is a bit different. Contact me if your PayPal account is a "personal" PayPal account and I will give you the details.
Although the PayPal system is not like real time credit card processing and authorization systems, it is more like using the simple credit card validation. PayPal does the authorization using it's web accept and sends you a confirmation email. You match the Merchant notification emails with the PayPal confirmation emails. For added security, it is advisable to check the status on the PayPal web site (linked within Merchant admin). Once confirmations are verified that the money has transferred to your account, you can ship the products.
The Merchant version 2.x, 3.x and 4.x PayPal payment module can be used with both the MMUI and OpenUI look and feel. A single edit is needed if you are using the MMUI AND your PayPal account is a "Personal" account. If you have a "Business" or "Premier" PayPal account, the MMUI edit is NOT needed. An optional code edit can be also made to include the payment method in the merchant notification email. You may find it advantageous to use our Show Payment Type module instead which lists all payment methods in the email, not just PayPal. No code edits are needed if you are using the OpenUI for either the PayPal or Show Payment Type modules.
New in the compiled version is a report module. You can list orders by any time frame and specify only orders with a specific product code in them. You can also sort it by state or country according to their paypal.com account registration
This module is particularly useful for the small sized Mom and Pop store which does not want the added expense of setting up Merchant credit card accounts and having to meet minimum sales quotas. This store is a prime example, as I do not take credit cards directly. Rather you can pay for software at this store using PayPal, by signing up and debiting your credit card at PayPal. Try it out, I think you'll like it.
Additionally, it is a nice option for the big guys in that it makes online fulfillment possible for those customers who don't have credit cards but have built up an online balance through their own sales, e.g. through eBay. PayPal is the predominant method of payment at eBay. There are over 16,000,000 million PayPal accounts. Do not overlook these as potential customers at your store. Over 30,000 websites accept PayPal and are listed in the PayPal Shops at paypal.com. Can you afford not to be in that list? PayPal accounts are available to customers in the United States and many other countries around the world.
PayPal is currently giving you $5 to sign up and complete the bonus requirements. So do the math. Signup, order this $20 module and let PayPal pay $5 of the cost. How long this will last is anybody's guess, so don't wait too long.
If you are not familiar with how PayPal works, check it out. If you like it, sign up, then add this payment option to your store.

Back to TopThe purpose of this module is to allow customers to place a subscription order at a Miva Merchant (? Miva Corp) store which they will then pay for using their PayPal (? x.com) account. This module is licensed per domain. No additional store licenses are required if used within the same mall.
This module is specifically designed for subscription payments. It allows scheduling one or two trial periods, with or without a charge on the first trial. The second trail, if used, would charge the customer. You can skip the trial periods and only offer the regular subscription. The subsciption allows intervals established in days, weeks, months and years. The customer makes the first payment. They then pay at the store's preset interval automatically. PayPal notifies them as each payment due is paid. If the customer cancels or does not pay at any interval, the store owner is notified so that he/she can turn off the subscription. PayPal manages the payments and intervals and deposits the payments into your account automatically.
This module guides the customer to the PayPal payment screens so that they do not get to the invoice screen without properly entering pay data. When the customer clicks the Pay button at the PayPal site, you can have the PayPal Instant Payment Notification send a silent update back to your payment history file which can be viewed in your Merchant admin:order edit screen. Unlike some other modules, if the customer does not return to Merchant, his order will still be processed and email notifications sent. When returning to your store, the invoice page will be displayed. You can also add additional instructions to inform customers what to expect at the PayPal site.
The module default will allow all of your products to be purchased with subscriptions. However, you can limit that to only product codes which you want to sell as subscriptions. Use this module for magazine or ezine subscriptions. You can even use it for membership programs. As long as the customer keeps their payments current, you keep their membership active. If they fail to keep current, PayPal notifies you of the status. Use it to manage domain registrations or web hosting fees. If you sell software licenses which are renewable, PayPal can keep track of the renewal dates and notify the customer and you.
Click on the product name for more info!
Although the PayPal system is not like real time credit card processing and authorization systems, it is more like using the simple credit card validation. PayPal does the authorization and sends you a confirmation email. You match the Merchant notification emails with the PayPal confirmation emails. For added security, it is advisable to check the status on the PayPal web site (linked to the specific transaction within Merchant admin). Once confirmations are verified that the money has transferred to your account, you can supply the products.
The Merchant version 2.x, 3.x and 4.x PayPal payment module can be used with both the MMUI and OpenUI look and feel. If using the MMUI, an optional code edit can be also made to include the payment method in the merchant notification email. You may find it advantageous to use our Show Payment Type module instead which lists all payment methods in the email, not just PayPal. No code edits are needed if you are using the OpenUI for either the PayPal or Show Payment Type modules.

The user can configure the method name that appears in the drop down payment selection box and up to 10 prompts (although none need be specified) and text prompts that appear on the payment data collection screen. Each field may be configured to be "required" so that a simple check verifies that the field has been filled out. If no field is configured then none will be displayed. In addition, a message may be configured that will be displayed above the prompts and fields on the payment page. The collected data is then provided to the administrator with the other information when processing orders.

Back to TopAlternatively, you can configure the module in admin to function as a purchase order module with no pre-approved list of customers. Hence, every customer would have the option to pay by purchase order and would see it in the payment selection list.
You can assign customers pre-approved to use a purchase order to an availability group. The module can use that availability group designation to limit who has the option to use purchase orders. This 3rd method of control eliminates the need to list every eligible Login ID; simply designate the group the B2B customers are assigned to.
The payment selection label, purchase order entry label and order edit label are configurable in admin. As example, instead of Purchase Order as an entry in the payment selection drop down list, you could change it to read Account Number or other applicable text.
You can configure an invoice message that can be displayed only if the purchase order is the selected form of payment. This allows you to remind them about payment terms on their account.
The module currently fully supports the mivasql configuration of MIVA Merchant 5. It also supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server. Back to Top| Features: - Collect supplemental, required or non-required responses from customers at checkout - Export responses to a delimited flat file - View responses in the file with a searchable admin report - Display responses in the include modified invoice emails and batch reports and invoice screen - Include response data in the order export file created by our inexpensive EZ Batch Report module (sold separately) - Configure text label for each question to preceed the responses in the emails and reports - Special instructions for the order, e.g. shipping needs - Collect responses from survey or poll questions - Customer entered gift card messages - Questions displayed in a table which the store owner designs with standard HTML - Limit the display of questions based on specific product codes - Limit the display of questions based on the ship to country of the order - Used in conjunction with our Mail Manager module, activate sending of specific emails - Assign a fee to one response, for example gift wrapping fee, donation, or rush handling - Insert a negative fee (vs positive fee) for impromptu sales, etc - One or more responses can be required before customer can proceed - Highlighted error message when required response(s) are omitted - Tokens can be used to refill the responses if the page is redisplayed due to missing info - Our standard version contains the features you'd expect in competitors' pro version |
The admin interface allows you to build the form withyour store's questions using standard html syntax. Hence, you can make the response collection table match the restof your store's look and feel. You can have text, radio, select drop down list, text area, and checkbox inputs designed the way you want them. Add css if you like or use typical fonts and table tags.
You can place the questions on one of the three checkout screens. You simply add the tokens to the page templates per the install doc.
You can also specify one or moreof the questions to be required. Customers will not be able to completethe checkout if they do not respond to the required questions.
You can purge old questions from the active file and place them in ahistorical file in order to improve response time during order batchprocessing retrieval. The optional order batch retrieval uses the modified core batch report which is included in the zip distribution file.
You can limit the display of Addendumquestions based on specific product codes. If you list productcodes in the admin input, the questions will only be displayedif one of those products is in the basket at checkout. Youcan also use the wild card product code like 1AA*. If theapplicable products all begin with the same characters, youcan use the asterisk. This can only be used for the beginningcharacters in the product codes.
You can alsolimit the display of questions to specific ship to countries.
You can optionally includethe questions in the emails along with the responses by using the modified email modules which are included in the zip distribution file.If using our Mail Manager (sold separately) module you can have a question (checkbox) which will trigger a specific email, e.g. opt-in mailinglist signup. You can also include the questions and responseson the invoice (last page after payment completes). Theresponses for the batch report are retrieved from an indexeddatabase for faster access.
You can alsoattach a fee to a specific answer to one question if youplace the questions on either the customer information orshipping/payment selection screens.
The included Addendum View report featureallows you to search (within admin) the addendum filefor specific responses. For example, you might have a questionfor a specific requested shipping date. Simply search the filefor orders which have requested the delayed shipping for thatdate. The order numbers can be returned and fed into our EZ Batchreport (sold separately) for a tailored report for a specific shipping date. Another popular use of Addendum is to collect the salesman or representativecode with an order. Not only can you display the code in the batch report, but if you use Addendum View to create a list of orders attributed to thatsalesman, you can make a batch printout for each salesmanwith only their orders on it if you are using our EZ Batch Report (sold separately). You can also include the Addendum responses in the order export file that EZ Batch creates.
Limitation: When used in a store which uses PayFlowlink, PayPal or iTransact payment systems, you will need to placeyour questions on either the customer information screenor the shipping and payment selection screen. Thosepayment systems transport the customer to another domain.Hence, the module needs to save the responses to a filebefore the customer is transported off-site. When thecustomer returns from the off-site payment screens backto your store, the responses will be retrieved for savingto flat file or display in your merchant notification email.
The included modified merchant email and batch reports will display the Addendum resposes. Additionally, the batch report can provide page breaks between each order for better printouts (incoices). Also, the merchant notification email allows you to insert tokens in the subject line so you can include things like the order number, order total, and customer name in the subject of the email.
Compare this module with our competitors' pro or advanced or ultimate versions. Those are just words tacked onto a module name. Don't let our low price fool you - compare features and you will find this module probably contains all of the features found in theirs plus we have several additional features. The Addendum module has been in use since Merchant version 1.x and continually enhanced with each version. Our competitors will try to keep up, but the simple choice is, why get a shadow when you can get the "original".
