Add additional field data within the product narrative description. This data will appear on the screen as if it is in a separate field, but is really just part of the narrative memo field. This Merchant version 2.22 or 3.x module handles the parsing so that the customer only sees the data in the appropriate places. No modification to the products database structure is required. No additional databases are required to support this additional data. The additional data is added into product records just as any other product data, through admin or via flat file import. This provides easier code maintainability and faster data access. Since the data is stored within the product narrative description field, that data is immediately available to the standard Merchant search function with no code modification. This is the simplest way to display additional data in the product and category screens as if it is in separate fields instead of just narrative data. By doing this, the data stands out as name - value pairs, eg Author: Hemmingway. An added benefit is that you can have within your store products with different types of additional field data. Some products might need additional fields such as author, publisher, and date while other products might need fields such as composer, vocalist, and country of origin. This software product is an example of such a situation. Most of the products in my store are movie posters and contain additional fields related to them. That field data is stored in separate fields and maintained via prodmore (module for importing additional field data into separate fields). While this product record contains those same additional fields (naturally they are empty), I have added four fields via Flexible Product Description, which only appear in this product record. You can see them as Merchant Version, User Interface, CIM Tool Kit, Combo and New Image in the CTGY and PROD screens. In a Merchant 3.0 store, they can also appear in expanded product display screens for SRCH and PLST. I've also added the New Image field to some of the new product records to demonstrate the flexibility this feature provides. You can see the search box on the store front which lists new products by month.
New in the compiled version is compatibility interface with the OpenUI Tokens and Viking Coders product template module. Place the additional field data on the product page so that they better fit your desired look. Pseudo-fields, brief and keyword, can be used by Static

This module will allow you to send customer order confirmation or notification emails optionally by HTML formatted e-mail, in plain text or in plain-text with an HTML page as a file attachment. The HTML Formatted Customer Confirmation module lets you totally customize the email confirmations to include descriptions, images, and more. Merchant users and owners often complain about the readability of the notification e-mail. They are not aware of the fact that classical e-mail protocol (SMTP ) does not have any text formatting features. For these reasons, IT professionals use to set their mail clients to display messages in a fixed width font. That allows seeing formatting of such texts like Customer Order Confirmation E-mail, without any hassle. There is also the possibility to send e-mail messages for example in the HTML format. HTML is supported by all current major mail clients. Among IT professionals, the HTML e-mail is not too popular, because of related security problems in some client versions, because of increasing the transferred data volumes, and maybe because of few other reasons. However, HTML offers possibilities not available with plain SMTP and the formatting is often requested feature. The way MmHTMLc module implements the HTML format is secure for both sides and the transferred data is only slightly higher than at a plain-text message (in contrary to messages formatted within Outlook or other clients, where the volume may be easily the multiple of the original size). The edit more module allows you to edit additional field data in your product database from the individual product editing screen. This module requires that you have already added the additional fields to your products database with a dBaseIII plus compatible editor. You should not do this unless you are thoroughly familiar with database management and editing. Collect supplemental, required or non-required responses from
customers at checkout. You can add as many questions to your form as you
want. The responses are exported to a delimited text file which can be
imported into most database management systems for further analysis. You
can also have those responses appear in the Email notification and batch
processing. Use it for the customer to add special
instructions for the order, collect responses from survey or poll
questions, allow the customer to fill out gift card messages, etc.
The admin interface allows you to build the form with your store's
questions using standard html syntax.

You can place the questions on one of the three checkout screens. This
module is compatible with the MMUI and OpenUI. When using the OpenUI, simply
select the screen from admin. When using the MMUI, editing the mmui.mv
file will accomplish the same thing. You can also specify one or more
of the questions to be required. Customers will not be able to complete
the checkout if they do not respond to the required questions.
You can purge old questions from the active file and place them in a
historical file in order to improve response time during order batch
processing retrieval. The optional order batch retrieval
requires editing the core batch report unless you are using
truxoft's batch reporting module, which has an interface for
the addendum module data.
In the compiled version you can limit the display of Addendum
questions based on specific product codes. If you list product
codes in the admin input, the questions will only be displayed
if one of those products is in the basket at checkout. You
can also use the wild card product code like 1AA*. If the
applicable products all begin with the same characters, you
can use the asterisk. This can only be used for the beginning
characters in the product codes. You can optionally include
the questions in the emails along with the responses. If
using the OpenUI, you can select in admin whether to insert the
response in the merchant notification or customer confirmation
emails or both. You can also include the questions and responses
on the invoice (last page after payment completes).
Limitation: When used in a store which uses PayFlow
link or iTransact payment systems, you will need to place
your questions on either the customer information screen
or the shipping and payment selection screen. Those
payment systems transport the customer to another domain.
Hence, the module needs to save the responses to a file
before the customer is transported off-site. When the
customer returns from the off-site payment screens back
to your store, the responses will be retrieved for saving

Solution: The Order Attribute module allows the storefront owner to create an attribute for the order as a whole, so he can collect extra information for the order such as a gift card message the customer would like to send to the person they are sending the cake to. The customer includes this additional information as they are checking out, and can see what they have submitted on their order invoice. The storefront owner can see the information provided by the customer on the merchant notification he receives for the order, and in the Open Orders section for that basket. The storefront owner has found his customers really like being able to include a gift message with their order and they are now regularly sending his cakes to their friends!
Please note that this module collects information for the order and does not provide these attributes for each item in the order.
